Chapter 13

The past four days wasn't the most productive for the two angels.

All those days were filled with desperate pleading, which ended in a total failure.

Chaeryeong tried so desperately to get Yeji to go back with them, but in each attempts comes with their respective rejections.

Same goes for Ryujin, although she took a different approach towards how she would get Yeji to go back with them, it still didn't matter nor help as at the end of the day Yeji just cursed her out and outright disrespectfully rejected her.

Hence why Ryujin threw away the idea of getting Yeji back with them, she knows she'll get in trouble, but technically the mission isn't hers it's technically Chaeryeong's mission. So she just decided not to help Chaeryeong.

Of course that didn't go well for her. Chaeryeong might look nice, but she gets a little too extreme when she gets pissed.

Like the following day, Chaeryeong threatened to pluck out feathers out of Ryujin's wings and use it as a pen to list out reasons why she's lazy. So in response to the threats, she just decided to oblige to Chaeryeong before her wings go bald.

On the other side of the fence, Yuna has been doing what usual teenagers do. Going to highschool and just normal teenager stuff, although lately she's been hanging around the house and have not been going out with her friends.

Which Jisu definitely found pretty great in their situation, since she's older than Yuna, she's technically obligated look after her. So for Yuna to decide upon herself to not go out that much. That definitely lifted a small burden off of Jisu's shoulder.

Now for Jisu, things went pretty smoothly for her first four days as a cashier on the convenient store. She's gotten the hang of it and has been pretty happy with her current job, although it didn't give that much of a pay, it was still better than being a stripper.

She did on other hand got moved to the day shift, as for whatever reason a person that both her and Shuhua never knew of, apparently applied to the shop and specifically told to be in charge of the night shift.

Which is why she's currently placed behinds the counters, sitting silently as she listened to the radio. Slowly vibing to a famous group named ITZY and their song Be in love.

It's blistering hot outside and she's quiet thankful that she and her friend is inside an air-conditioned place. All the while she looked outside, just looking on as a crowd of pedestrians walk into and across each other on the streets.

It is New York after all.

Jisu then looked towards Shuhua, who's swiftly and neatly restocking and placing goods into their rightful, labeled place.

As Jisu took a minute and stare at her friend, she can't help but be left in awe from the beauty that her friend posseses.

Sometimes Jisu forgets that her friend is an absolute beauty, she wondered how and why Shuhua chose to stay here and be at a convenient store instead of pursuing a much fitting job for someone like her, like being a model.

Maybe lack of finances, but none the less, Jisu found it such a waste of potential.

"Someone's diving into their thoughts," Shuhua said, catching Jisu's attention and breaking her train of thoughts.

Jisu then shifted her gaze towards Shuhua and giggled. "Oh— yeah, how's the restocking? Is it all done?"

"Yeah they are, whyooo~ that was pretty tiring actually," Shuhua took a deep breath and blew it all out, wiping a bead of sweat out of her forehead.
