"Was what I saw actually real?"
That question kept echoing inside Yuna's mind. Circulating and scratching within the walls of her own consciousness once in a while, bothering her and keeping her off track from what she originally planned to do.
It all started with her.
Ryujin.
She doesn't fully understand why she's acting like this. But ever since she suddenly saw Ryujin appear out of thin air, right in front of her without any known passage way into their place. She just couldn't help but wonder on whether what she saw was reality, or maybe it was just an illusion, a hallucination from all the stress she's been gathering all through out the past years.
Returning back to when Ryujin appeared right in front of Yuna. All was fine, Ryujin had entered the vicinity crystal clear, not one kind of setback had delayed her from entering the apartment.
Or so it seems.
One thing that an angel should do before appearing right in front of a human is to fully fit in with the whole environment, transforming as one individual that would blend in immediately. Ryujin's mistake was rushing the whole process, not allowing herself to fully appear as one whole being, but instead...
She appeared as an apparition. Her wings still vividly visible due to the shining light illuminating her whole figure, plus adding it with the fact that Lucifer was around when she appeared in front of Yuna.
Her angel form, was amplified, enabling Yuna to witness some sort of a holy and unholy apparition.
Which directly leads back to Yuna's situation. She's not going through some sort of crisis, but instead. It's her sanity slowly burning away. Lucky part on the tall girls' situation is that she never suffered the same fate as Jisu, her mind didn't shut down due to the overwhelming presence of something divine.
She merely saw an apparition or better yet, witnessed a vivid site of divinity.
At first it wasn't such a big deal. She was acting fine and had proper conversation with her friends and Jisu, even casually joking around with the brunette.
But, as time goes on and days have passed. The slow burn effect of her sanity disappearing started to show.
"Yuna? Yoo-hoo?" Wonyoung snapped her finger in front of Yuna's line of vision, trying to get her friend to break out of her trance. But it doesn't seem to work as the doll-like girl continued to look off at her own notepad that had one word or name rather, written on it.
Wonyoung adjusted her position, leaning her head in alignment with the notepad and read aloud what was written on it.
"Ryu— Ryujin? Who is that?" Wonyoung said.
The sudden mention of the angel's name, made Yuna bolt out back into her own self. Springer head up and nearly butting heads with her friend.
"Ryujin?! Where?" Yuna frantically moved around, surveying the whole place they are currently resting on.
Wonyoung who had just fallen backwards due to the sudden action of her friend, rose back up rubbing the back of her head and groaned. "Jesus Yuna, what is going on with you these days?"
Yuna rubbed her eyes. "I-I don't know, maybe it's just stress."
"If that's the case Yuna, then maybe you should go home for now."
"But what about you?"
Wonyoung held Yuna's shoulder and smiled. "I'll be fine, I'll just ask Yujin to accompany me," she said as she rolled her eyes towards the window, "besides, I don't think that puppy is busy anyways."
"Is it really fine for you?"
"Yeah yeah it's totally fine, you know Yuna of you were tired you could've just told me. Now just pack your stuff and take a rest, you definitely need it."
At that moment Yuna didn't need any further reassurance from her friend. It is indeed true that she has been restless in past few days, more-so Yuna had also been mentally tired.
As sh hastily packed all her stuff, something rose up from the back of her mind. She doesn't know why but something has been whispering in her ears, something ominous, dark and very...
Frightening.
Moments after she packed all her stuff, the tall girl bid farewell to her friend and exited the premises. Speed walking passed all the obstacles on her path, zooming and squeezing through cramped area's filled with crowd.
As she kept her head tucked down low, not wanting to raise her head in fear that she might see the entity behind the voice she's been hearing.
Follow my voice, follow my voice. Those words repeatedly called out to her, the cold sensation it delivered throughout her body, coursing through her spine and weakening her legs.
She feared it might engulf her.
Unconsciously tears started streaming down her face as she soon clasped her ears, trying to nullify the voice calling out to her.
But the more she tried to swat it away, the stronger the voice got. Getting louder and louder and a lot more authoritative, convincing her to lift her head up.
Unbeknownst to her, as she kept treading onto some unknown place. She had stumbled upon a dark area, completely unaware of her surroundings due to her desperate attempt to drown away the voices.
She lifted her head and was surprised to a shocking revelation.
The voice that was calling to her, was a dark, tall, long horned demon. In it's face plastered such demented grin, blood shot eyes and it's pulsating red veins. Behind the abominable being was its long spiked wings, covering the light out of the tall girls' peripherals.
The air turned cold, freezing to be exact. Yuna hitched her breath, desperately trying to inhale in more air but her lungs were giving up on her, her legs began to weaken, trembling as she slowly backed away from the horrendous being in front of her.
She wanted to scream, but her words would not escape her mouth. She's totally isolated, hidden behind the shadows of the towering building.
Hope-at this point-had no meaning anymore.
She's cornered.
Instead of fleeing, the tall girl raised her hand and placed it over her heart and closed her eyes, she began to call out to the heavens above.
Asking for some sort of salvation, as tears continued to stream down her face.
The air became a lot more freezing, but then it happened.
The atmosphere started to loosen up, the air became warm, it felt comforting. She started breathing properly again, her legs started to strengthen.
She never noticed the other things occurring, but she noticed one thing.
The warmth that was currently engulfing her, is almost like an angels warm embrace.
