Yeji stood straight looking off to the direction of Jisu's apartment, sensing not only an angelic presence but also a specific one. A smile grew from the edges of the cat-eyed girls' lip, as for the first time in two million years, she can finally confirm that one of her angelic companion is alive and well.
"Why are smiling for Ms.creeperton," Jisu interrupted from behind.
Yeji turned around as a giggle escaped from her mouth. "Nothing," she said as she cut her words and sat down beside the brunette, "I'll worry about that some time later, today is our day."
"Okay whatever you say."
Silence then dawned the two couple as they both sat quietly on the bench, hands intertwined with one another. Admiring the ambient sounds around them.
The wind blew passed the branches of some trees, ruffling it's leaves and leaving off such calming sound, smoothly blending in with engine roars and loud blaring horns from distant vehicles. Giving off a somewhat calming tone to the atmosphere surrounding the two of them.
Both have had a lot in their plates since their separation.
Jisu had one bumpy road to go through when Yeji and the others left, quitting her job and ending up back to where she started. Feeling depressed and lonely, depressed because she returned to the abyss she nearly climb out of, lonely because she lost the one pe— angel she loved.
For Yeji on other hand is rather surprising for the likes of her, knowing her status as the Lord Of the Underworld everyone would think that it would be easy going for her. But it was the other way around.
After she descended to hell, she went on a rampage which resulted on a mass demon genocide. Minju did end up subduing her, but in doing so–being knocked unconscious by Minju– she is brought in into her own hell loop.
She was forced to relive the moment she felt so much guilt. That was the day she failed to protect one human. Jason Thomas, she witnessed him die over and over and over and over again and with each time she goes back to the beginning and witnessing it all happen once again.
She never managed to conquer her guilt, nor did she able to confront it head on. But instead she unlocked her demonic ability by forcefully opening the doors to her own hell loop and escaping.
Now fast forwarding to their present self, now that they're together once again. Both of them wished that it would never end, that this happiness would never ever disappear ever again.
Wishing that if this was ever a dream, they both hoped that they will never wake up from it.
"Yeji?" Jisu broke the silence.
"Yes?" The cat-eyed girl simply replied.
"I'm kind of curious," Jisu halted in her words and adjusted her position to face the cat-eyed girl, "when was the first time you arrived here on earth?"
Yeji looked in the brunettes eyes momentarily and then looked of into the distance, all the while her hand caressed her chin.
"Hmmm, let's... uhhh... I think it was nineteen-fourty something?" She looked back at the brunette and squinted her eyes, "I don't really remember exactly what year but I do remember that I was in France back then."
Jisu's mouth formed into an 'o' shape as if she was a hamster, which immediately caused Yeji to flash a quick smile accompanied by a soft giggle.
"Woah, really? How did France look way back then?"
"Uhhh, destroyed? A war was going on way back then you do know that right?"
