Unpleasant rattling and clanking of pans and utensils, awoke Jisu from her slumber. Opening her eyes slowly, lightly rubbing it and taking up a single moment to adjust to the sudden burst of light that the living room had illuminated on.
She then postured herself upward and stretched her arms up, following it up with a yawn. Jisu could tell that it's currently early in the morning, although not quiet precisely.
Therefore she then surveyed the room in search for a wall clock and within a couple of seconds. Her eyes soon landed upon the only clock that she have seen.
She was in fact the one who bought the clock, and was actually the one who placed it there, which is why it didn't take her long to find it. As she laid eyes upon the clock and looking at it for a split second, she eventually saw and determine the time.
6:46 AM.
She figured that she should prep herself up and head back to Ryujin's place, but postponed the idea as soon as she heard the cat eyed girls' fruitful voice behind her.
"Good morning," Yeji greeted, as she tied her hair in a bun and fixing the tightness of the apron on her waist.
Jisu then turned around and greeted the cat eyed girl back. "Good morning to you too."
"Want to eat breakfast with me?"
Jisu squinted her eyes, not because of the shine from the sun. But because of how weird Yeji is behaving. It's early in the morning too, and having this highly suspicious behavior from Yeji is somewhat bothering her.
Well why is she bothered? Well, when she and Yeji lived together for a week. Yeji never did this, cooking breakfast was not something she would do. As a matter of fact when she used to live here, even at this time Yeji would be passed out with a loud snore, and if ever she's awoken she'd literally yell at Jisu.
Which is why Jisu is so suspicious of Yeji's behavior.
"O—kay? Are you perhaps planning to poison me Yeji?"
"What? No! I just want you to eat something before you return to that ugly monkey," Yeji said, accompanying it with an insult towards Ryujin. Which Jisu didn't react nicely to, but she obliged with Yeji's offer to eat.
Before too long Jisu and Yeji sat across each other in the dining table, peacefully munching on their food. Times like this Jisu realizes that Yeji isn't as bad as she thought she was.
Jisu always thought Yeji is just some sort of an ego driven type of person, which in all honesty she kinda is.
But she only knew and lived with Yeji for a week, so assuming the cat eyed girls' personality is not something she should do. But although she doesn't know Yeji quiet that well compared to Ryujin, what Jisu does know is that Yeji is a genuine type of person.
When she really enjoys being around someone, it shows through how she reacts and behave around that particular someone.
"Are you not gonna finish your food?" Yeji spoke up, breaking Jisu's deep thoughts.
Jisu shook her head and coughed. "I will, I will. I just had something in mind," she said, as she delivers a spoon full of food towards her mouth.
"I remembered just now that you have a job, so.... What is it?" Yeji asked, trying to spark up another conversation with Jisu.
"I do have a job now, this time it isn't a stripper."
Yeji bursted out laughing from what Jisu said, same goes for Jisu. Both can't really forget that one particular embarrassing moment, especially Jisu. Now that the topic is brought up, Jisu never really got the answer as to why Yeji knew how she nearly got employed as a stripper.
Which made her furrow her eyebrows and stroke her chin, like she's some sort of detective. Yeji clearly noticed Jisu's behavior, so she halted from her laughter and asked the smaller girl.
"Why are you doing that motion on your chin?"
"Tell me, how in God's na—"
Jisu stops as Yeji cuts her in between her words. "Don't bring my father into the conversation," Yeji spitefully voices out.
"O—kay... Anyways, how did you know about me being nearly employed as a stripper?"
"Oh, that's cuz' I saw you entering that strip club."
Jisu nodded, following it up with a hum. "Okay, okay. That makes sense," Jisu concluded, as she grabbed the spoon in her plate and continued eating.
Silence soon befell upon the both of them, as they continued finishing their breakfast. From time to time, Yeji would steal glances from Jisu. It confused her, as questions keep running in her mind asking on why Jisu has this effect on her.
First off, Jisu never fell for her own divine ability. That is to make everyone like them, well feel at ease. It did work once, but Yeji guessed that it was at the heat of the moment and it was just Jisu's basic response to react that way at that time.
She's been thinking this way since last night, like Jisu makes her do things she normally wouldn't do. Like say for example, cooking breakfast which she doesn't really do for any person and yet here she is, eating the food she cooked for her and Jisu.
It even came to a point where she suspected on whether her father had sent Jisu to persuade her into coming back to heaven. That reason became such a viable reason, that she even asked Chaeryeong if Jisu is secretly an angel too.
But Chaeryeong innocently and very swiftly denied any affiliation with Jisu, and justified that Jisu is indeed not an angel and had not shown any signs of divinity.
'I really need to find out this emotion I'm feeling immediately,' Yeji said in her thoughts.
The sound of Jisu's chair, as it loudly slides back onto the floor. Caught Yeji's attention, snapping her out of her trance.
Yeji then jolted her head towards Jisu and saw that the smaller girl was already preparing to leave. "You're leaving already?"
"I am, I have some stuff to do," Jisu answered, all the while she gathered her stuff from the coffee table.
Jisu then started walking towards the door. Jisu was about to open the door, but stopped, as Yeji held onto her wrist. Slowly she then turned around to face Yeji and awaited what the cat eyed girl has to say.
"Can't you stay for a bit Jisu?" Yeji somewhat pleaded.
"I can't Yeji, Ryujin is waiting for me."
"Of course it's her, what is it with Ryujin that makes you always yap about her," she paused momentarily, waiting for Jisu's response. But the smaller girl didn't give any. "Let me guess... that monkey is taking you somewhere?" She added.
"It's... Ugh, it's— you know what? You're actually right, Ryujin is indeed taking me somewhere."Yeji then pulled Jisu back. "Well then you're going to have to reschedule your day, because you're going out with me!" Yeji exclaimed, smiling towards Jisu who only face palmed.
