The dead of night approached the wide concrete jungle of New York, concealing the then bright shining beacon of light up above the sky and exchanging it with a vast blanket of darkness, along the vast nothingness are tiny specks of light showing of its majestic twinkling glow. Lighting the night sky, emanating such tranquillity.
Inside the apartment Jisu shared with her junior, lies flat in the bed, as Yuna has yet to regain her consciousness. Beside her an angel sitting still watching a close eye on her. Guilt encroaching her heart.
Ryujin had yet to gain courage to come and seek for an assistance, neither have she tried to profess her own mistake to any of her angelic companions. She knew deep inside that she had made a major mistake, one that she chose to ignore believing that Yuna would just forget the whole occurrence.
Yuna and her bubbly, energetic and infectious personality made Ryujin believe that it would all just fade away within a few days.
But she did not expect that it would come to this.
A demon hunting a mortal in broad daylight.
'The audacity of those filthy demons,' she thought to herself, her hand grasping over the wound she sustained two years ago.
Leaning back to her chair, the dark-haired girl took a deep sigh. Looking of to her right, as she stared at the girl right beside her. Her long luscious locks, doll like features and such vibrant visual even when unconscious couldn't keep the angel from gawking and admiring her silently.
Ryujin didn't really took notice of Yuna. She never looked at her and fully examine the girls' overall appearance.
She was too busy focusing at a different girl.
Ryujin moved her hand, caressing Yuna's head and moving strands of hair away from her face. "I'm sorry Yuna for putting you into harms way."
"T-tell me the truth then," Yuna responded, quiet a faint sound but was still loud enough for the short-haired girl to fully hear it.
Yuna's sudden response took Ryujin by surprise, she never expected Yuna to respond to her nor did she expect the girl to already be conscious.
"Y-you wouldn't be able to handle the truth," Ryujin simply replied.
Yuna then opened her eyes, turning her head to her left and gazed at the dark-haired girl, linking eyes with her. "Please, it's killing me..." Yuna slowly sat up and lifted her hands towards her head, "I feel like my mind is incinerated... I-I don't know..."
Ryujin looked on at the poor girl beside her. As she proceeded to listen on to what Yuna was about to say.
Shifting her gaze, Yuna looked at Ryujin, her eyebrows arched up, her eyes starting to fill up with tears. "I beg of you, e-ever since I saw it all that's been on my mind are those wings. I don't know if they are real or if it's just my mind playing tricks on me. For every passing days I just can't understand what is happening," her eyes glistening with tears that are threatening to stream out, Yuna met with Ryujin's eyes once again. "So p-please tell me the truth, w-what a-are you?" She voiced out, desperate for some answers.
Ryujin bit her lips, looking away and down towards her hands. Contemplating if whether she should lie again. Ryujin knew that she messed up and she knows that Yuna wasn't just experiencing a minor confusion.
She contemplated of lying once more, but a realization occurred in her mind. Letting herself know that the more she prolongs the truth, the more she lies about her true identity towards a person who had already been exposed to the truth.
The more that person's mental state would start to burn away.
There's not much choice, she couldn't let such thing to happen to Yuna.
With a deep sigh, the dark-haired girl stood up and walked in front of Yuna. "Promise me you'll never reveal any of which I am about to show you."
Yuna eagerly nodded. Yuna never cared about revealing anything, all she wants are answers. Answers which she hoped would quench the unknown feeling she's experiencing.
Ryujin didn't take long to set everything up. She's planned it already, not only did she decided to heal Yuna's slow decent into madness. She would also reveal her divinity for the first time in all her existence at the same time.
"O pater, a te peto vires et manum adiutricem tuam ad sanandam animam pauperem," the dark-haired girl chanted, pausing momentarily as she took one step back from the bed. "Deitatem posco veniam patefaciendi mortalibus, et malos lux sancta incendet!" Ryujin yelled out as she opened her eyes revealing not her pupils, but instead it revealed a glowing white light.
Yuna's mouth slowly anchored down. Her speculations were true, Ryujin is indeed not human.
Ryujin's eyes reverted back to it's old state, the white glow now completely gone.
As sudden as one revelation went, Ryujin went on and suddenly sprout out her wings. Revealing her two blinding pearl-white wings.
"Here's the truth Yuna," Ryujin professed, as she slowly moved towards the bamboozled girl.
Yuna swallowed down a lump of her saliva, slowly moving back and straightening her posture. "S-so it i-is true."
Ryujin drew near Yuna and slowly placed her hand on her head. "It is Yuna," she paused and gave the tall girl a warm smile. "Now sleep for now."
Yuna's vision started to blur as she slowly lost her consciousness once again, as Ryujin held onto her and slowly plopped her down back to her sleeping position.
The dark-haired girl stood up and looked down once more towards Yuna. "Rest well for now Yuna, we'll meet again very soon."
