Those words repeated over and over again in my head. Tears were streaming down my face freely and he shed a few tears too. This wasn't actually happening. It was all just another one of my dreams right?
"Y/N.." he started.
"No. No stop take it back. Why are you deciding to say this now? Everything was going well Fred. I was starting to do fine with seeing you and another girl." I said in between soft sobs.
I shouldn't have been crying pained tears. They should've been happy tears, but at this moment I felt nothing but pure confusion.
"Because Y/N, you have to understand that I didn't want to admit how I felt because it would throw everything we've built, our friendship."
This was a new side of Fred. The side that seemed to care. The side that knows what he wanted. But what should I do? What would I tell Jeremy?
"Please just give me some time Fred.."
I walked away as fast as I could before he decided to stop me again. Why was I crying so much? I wasn't crying because of him. I was crying because of how horrible the night had turned out. It was supposed to be my moment, my moment of forgetting all about school and other worries. He just added to it.
"Y/N are you okay?" asked Hermione as I entered our dorm.
"Yeah, you?" I asked as I regained myself.
"I cant stand Ron at the moment."
"I understand. Let's just get some rest, Ginny should get here in a bit." I said.
We got ready for bed and dosed off. It had been an unexpected night. I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't fall back asleep.
Throughout the weekend the girls and I stayed in our dorms. We only went out to eat and when we did, we sat at a distance from the boys. Fred and I would make eye contact but wouldn't hold it for long. Harry would owl us to check up and see how we were doing. I wasn't sure how tomorrow, Monday, would be when I had to be in the same class as Fred.
I was sitting in the common room reading a book, when I felt the seat next to me sink down meaning someone had sat. I looked over to see who it was and for a moment I thought it was Fred until I realized it was just George.
"Hello George."
"Hello Y/N/N. What are you reading?"
"Fantastic beasts and where to find them. What's up?" I asked because I knew he needed something or some sort.
"Nothing I just wanted to check up on you."
"That's nice of you, I'm fine."
"Are you really?" he asked sounding unconvinced.
I paused for a moment. I really was fine, actually, I was doing great.
"Yes George, really."
"Well good to hear, bye now."
The moment fell odd. Almost as if he was there for another reason. As he got up to leave, he dropped a piece of paper.
"Wait George you dropped something."
"No I didn't, bye Y/N!" he said as he left.
'What on earth?'
I picked up the piece of paper and debated weather to open it or not. It took a couple of seconds until I finally gave in. I set my book down and started unwrapping the paper. As soon as I saw the handwriting I immediately recognized it.
Dear Y/N,
I know I messed up and decided to tell you at the wrong moment but please let me talk to you. Meet me in the astronomy tower at 9 pm tonight. Make sure not to get caught.
