Did I make the right choice? Was it smart to turn Jeremy down? These questions kept me awake at night and kept me distracted at day. Jeremy was the sweetest ever and Fred was... well Fred. Was it really smart for us to keep a "thing" going even if we broke up weeks ago?

"Y/N!" snapped Hermione.

"Sorry."

"I know what you're thinking." she said as she smirked.

"And what is that?"

"You're thinking about how sweet Fred's lips are on yours-" she started teasing before I shoved her playfully.

"No!" I said as we both laughed. "I'm just thinking wether I did the right thing or not."

"Right thing?"

"Yeah you know, by turning Jeremy down."

"Well it's not Jeremy, it's Fred. You turned Jeremy down because you can't help but want Fred."

"Very wise words Hermione." I teased as we entered our transfiguration class. We took our seats together while Ron and Harry sat in the desk beside us.

"Now, today we will be transfiguring a rose into a dagger." The class burst into excitement. "However, you are to not touch the dagger at all." Now, the class groaned in disappointment.

"But Professor, what fun is that?" asked a Hufflepuff boy with strawberry blonde hair and green eyes.

"Lessons are lessons, not fun." said Professor McGonagall. "Now take the rose and place it i front of you, then speak loud and clear, Veraverto."

"Roses are so overrated." I told Hermione as I picked it up to look at it. "But they're quite beautiful." She looked at me in confusion and then let out a soft chuckle.

"Veraverto." she said. Hermione's rose turned into a dagger on her first try. She looked at me with a very proud smile. "Try it."

"Okay. Veraverto." I said but nothing happened. I looked over at Hermione who was laughing at something. I followed her gaze and it led to a struggling Ron. "Oh come on just admit it."

"Admit what?"

"You fancy Ron!" I whispered to her. Her face went a bit red and her eyes widened.

"Do not!" she whispered back. "Admit you still fancy Fred then." I stopped giggling and gave her a serious face.

"I'm just joking." I said as we laughed softly.

"Miss Black." called professor McGonagall. "Professor Dumbledore would like to see you in his office." The whole class went silent and stared at me. I turned to Hermione and she ushered me out of my seat to go.  "Take this." she said as she handed me a piece of paper.

"I'll head on over." I said as I walked out. I could feel everyone's gaze on me. What did he need? "Sherbet Lemon." I said as I read the password from the note McGonagall had given me.

"Ah Miss Black." said Dumbledore as the door opened when I was about to knock.

"Good day. Did you need me?" I asked.

"Yes yes, come in." I walked in and looked around his office. Portraits of what seemed to be past professors were hung up all over the walls. "Old Hogwarts Professors." he said as he too looked at the walls.

"There's loads." I said as I took a seat.

"Miss Black, how are you doing with your classes?"

"I'm doing quite good." I said as I looked around his office.
