Chapter 33-Detention

The next morning I was quite sleepy. I had been tossing and turning all night, missing Fred's presence. We were all sitting in the great hall having breakfast when Angelina sat besides me unexpectedly.

"Good morning." she said chipper.

"Morning Angie."

"So, I was thinking, you should come practice with me."

"Practice?"

"Yes, practice. Think of it as private lessons."

"That would be amazing, Ang. Count me in." I said excitedly.

"I'll hand you a schedule of your training sessions later." she said as she stood. "Y/N, we really want you on the team."

"Thank you. I'll make it. Trust me." I said. She gave me a smile and a nod then walked away.

"My backup? That's bloody cool." said Harry. "Ron told me. You'll be amazing, Y/N."

"Thank you Harry."

"I'll let you use my broom for your lessons, if you'd like."

"That would be amazing Harry. Thank you."

"Good morning, children." said McGonagall. "Here are your timetables."

"Thank you professor." I said. "How's your morning been?"

"Oh, good good. Thank you for asking Miss Black." she said as she blushed a bit and smiled. "I appreciate it very much."

"Of course professor." I said. She smiled and walked away to hand out the other timetables.

"I'be got Ancient Runes first." groaned Ron.

"I've got it too." said Harry.

"Me too." added Hermione.

"I don't." I said. They all looked at me and rushed to look at my timetable.

"Divination?" said Hermione.

"I guess Trelawney is eager to have you." said Ron. "You've got DADA second, so do I."

"Us too." said Harry.

"Well at least i'll see you all again soon." I said.

"Come on." said Hermione as she picked up her book bag. "We'd best get going, Ancient Runes is far away. We'll see you later Y/N."

"Bye guys."

"Y/N." said Lavender Brown as she sat in front of me.

"Lavender? Hey."

"Hello. So I overheard you have Divination first. I swear I wasn't purposely listening."

"It's okay don't worry. But yeah I do." I said after finishing up my juice.

"I do too." she said happily. "Would you mind if I stuck with you? Sorry for bothering it's okay if you-"

"Lavender." I said as I put my hand on hers. "It's okay. I don't mind at all." She smiled happily and walked to her spot to grab her book bag.

"So words going around that you're trying out for the team." she said. "I know you'll do great! Better than Viridity for sure."

"Thanks Lav. I appreciate the support." I said happily. "It is okay if I call you Lav, right?"

"Of course!"

"We'd best be going, don't you think?"

She nodded and we both got up and headed to Divination. On our way there we passed by Viridity and Fred making out. Fred seemed to be trying to get away. I laughed at the sight once we were away.
