My Weasley (Fred x Reader)

Chapter 41-Veritaserum

I still felt horrible about the ring. I cant even begin to imagine how he must've felt. Erick had been give months of detention. I didn't even know he was a person until that night. Umbridge had begun to use Veritaserum on students she suspected, in hopes that one of them one would break and spill.

"We've got to be ready." I said. "It is possible to resist it. You just need practice."

"Can you do it?" asked Harry.

"I don't know. I've never tried."

"We'll each take turns trying to see who's able to. Hermione, can you brew it?"

"Of course I can." she said confidently.

"Or we can steal some from Snape and speed up the process." I said. "It'll take a while to brew Veritaserum."

"Steal?" said Ron. "How?"

"Thought you'd never ask." said Fred as he and George sat besides me.

"Ta-da." said George with jazz hands. "Us."

"Them." I said. "We'll make that today's lesson. Resisting Veritaserum. What do you think, Harry?"

"I think that's a great idea. Figure out how to steal it and we'll use it."

We continued eating our lunch and thinking of ways to get into his personal store. It couldn't be that hard, right? I mean how hard could it possibly be to get into his store.

"So how do we do this?" I asked as I plopped down on the couch besides Fred.

"Well we were thinking of the invisibility cloak." started Fred.

"But it seems too...boring." finished George.

"Boring? Really?" I scoffed.

"What did you have in mind then Miss Black." said George.

"Enlighten us." added Fred.

"Well, I was thinking about Peeves." I said.

"Peeves?" they both asked.

"Yes. Peeves. I was thinking we could ask him to make some sort of distraction to keep Snape busy while we go and...borrow, a few of the Veritaserum bottles."

"And you think Peeves would agree to help?"

"Do you have a better idea?" I sassed. Both of them nodded their head no and shut up. "Exactly."

"Are you three ready?" asked Harry as him, Ron, and Hermione sat with us.

"Yup. We've got it under control."

"Good. It's almost time so you better get going."

"We'll be right back."

Fred, George, and I headed out of the common room and walked to one of the deserted hallways. We searched around to make sure we weren't being followed or watched.

"Oh Peeves!" I called out once we arrived in an empty and far away hallway. "Peeves!"

"I've been summoned." he said as he flew above us. "The Weasley twins! And a lady! A pretty lady. Hello madam."

"Hello Peeves." said Fred and George at the same time.

"Hello." I said. "Peeves we need your help."

"Please." said George.

"I suppose I have nothing better to do." he said. "But what's in it for me."

"You despise Umbridge, don't you?" I asked.

"That old toad face? Of course I do!"

"Would you like to see her fail at her miserable attempts to find out something she shouldn't?"
