Jeno pov :

"honey, is everything okay?" mom asked and i looked up at her

"yeah it's- i'm just a bit tired"

"do you not like the food? you should eat something"

I looked at my plate and gulped "i'm not really hungry. i just want to sleep"

"are you sick?"

"mom, i'm okay. something is just bothering me a little bit"

Mom furrowed her eyebrows "what is it? Jay?"

"well yes and.. something" i mumbled

"Jeno, you can always tell me everything"

"i know but i just don't want to talk about it right now. can i just go to sleep?"

She sighed and nodded "okay. are you going to school tomorrow?"

"is it- is it okay if i stay at home?"

"of course. i'll tell your teacher"

I nodded and stood up before rushing to my room. I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes, trying to fall asleep.

But i kept thinking about Jaemin.

What if i was wrong?

What if he actually had an explanation?

Jaemin pov :

I rubbed my eyes and turned off the loud alarm. It was 8am and i only had three classes today but after that i'd have to go to work.

My first class started at 9am so i just got dressed and ate some cereal before packing my backpack and leaving for school. Fortunately, Renjun would be in the same class with me.

I opened the classroom door and saw him sitting at the back of the class. He waved to me and i went to sit down next to him.

"so" Renjun said and put his elbow on the table to rest his chin on his palm "did you talk to him?"

"i tried to but it didn't work. Mrs.Lee came home and Jeno basically forced me out of the house"

"did he not believe you?"

I shook my head and sighed "at least Haechan did"

"i'll fucking kill Jeno, why does he believe that bitch but not you?"

"calm down" i said and chuckled "Haechan will help me"

"can i do something for you?"

"hmm, i don't know. i'll tell you if i figure something out"

Renjun smiled and ruffled my hair "i'm sure you'll get him back soon

"let's hope so"

After the class, i called Haechan.

"hi, where are you?"

"in the parking hall with the others, duh"

"okay, i'll come there"

"great, i'm tired of watching Chenle and Jisung eat each other's faces out"

I chuckled when i could hear Jisung shout something to Haechan. I ended the call and started to run towards the parking hall.

I got outside but bumped into someone.
I almost tripped and fell to the ground but the person grabbed my arm and pulled me back up.

I looked up and saw Shotaro.

"Jaemin! i'm sorry!" the Japanese boy said with wide eyes

"it's okay, thanks for not letting me fall"
