❝What! Why don't you trust me?❞
❝You want it alphabetized or by date?❞
❝I can't even look at you right now!❞
❝Jake, do you even trust yourself?❞
❝No, but that is not the point.❞

"Okay, everyone," Raymond called at the morning briefing, "We have very important matters to discuss this morning. I need everyone on their best behavior-"
Jake, of course, cut him off. "Why did you look at me when you said that? Why did he look at me when he said that?" He whined loudly.
"Maybe because you do stuff like this?" Amy scoffed, referring to him cutting Raymond off.
Jake glared at her and crossed his arms childishly.
"Back to the briefing," Terry tried to reign everyone in, "We're going to be receiving some very important guests today-"
"Oh, my God!" Jake gasped, his eyes widening in excitement, "Who is it? Is it John McClane? Please tell me it's John McClane? I need to know who it is! Tell me, tell me, tell me-"
"Okay," Natasha cut him off dryly, "He can't tell us who it is if you don't let him talk. And John McClane isn't real so he-"
"La, la, la!" Jake sang obnoxiously as he covered his ears.
"This is what Holt was talking about," Natasha snapped as she glared at him.
The two quickly got into an argument resembling an old married couple as Rich had proudly described them while he took a video. He brushed off the weird looks he got and simply explained that he needed to document every stage of the Zapalta ship. That made Charles realize he'd been severely lacking in the Zapalta shipping and quickly pulled out his own phone to take a video of the two.
"This is exactly what I was referring to," Raymond sighed, "This is exactly the type of behavior that needs to be minimized when the FBI team reaches the precinct."
"What?!" The squad gasped in surprise.
Natasha's brows furrowed and she gave Raymond a pointed look, wondering why he hadn't told her about this before.
"Oh, so now you want to listen," Terry scoffed in annoyance, "The behavioral analysis unit is being called in to work a case with us. It's Peralta and Zapata's Anthrax case so you two will be working directly with the team being sent."
After the string of fake Anthrax biohazard scares, which the 99 experienced on Thanksgiving under Jake's temporary command, a case had been launched into it with Jake and Natasha heading the investigation. They'd quickly found a new strain of Anthrax being used after 25 people, who'd visited the same park, checked into emergency rooms, and were found to have lung failure. Today, the day after, already 12 of them were dead and the BAU was called in.
"Awesome!" Jake grinned excitedly, completely forgetting the grim situation of the case.
Rosa leaned forward and hit him over the head.
He cleared his throat and nodded solemnly. "I mean, uh, it's horrible that we need them because of a new deadly Anthrax strain."
Natasha stiffened in shock, not knowing how to react. She'd never been on the BAU team back when she'd been working at the FBI but she had dated the team's resident Boy Genius. And that had meant she'd become close with the rest of the team. She just hoped things didn't get weird.
