"I said something this week I never thought I'd say," Natasha told Amy, hiding her excitement.

The two had gotten closer since being undercover in prison together and with Amy dating Natasha's best friend. Natasha had already told Rosa the news and was now telling Amy in the girly sleepover-esque way she thought Amy would appreciate.

"'Thank you'?" She assumed with a teasing smile.

"I said 'I love you' to Jake. He said, 'I love you,' and I said it back," She grinned.

Amy nodded slowly, clearly not sharing her excitement. "Oh, cool. Good for you."

Natasha's brows furrowed. "Wait, that's it? I finally decide to cave and be a girl for you, and you hang me out to dry?" She scoffed, "I've seen movies. You're supposed to jump around and say, 'This calls for a Margarita!'"

"This calls for a Margarita!" Amy sang but it was obviously forced and awkward.

"Too much, too late," Natasha held a hand up, not happy with her reaction, "Your first reaction said everything, and your second one was just annoying."

"I'm sorry," Amy sighed, "It's just I think Adam's going to say it to me too."

"And that's bad because...?" She trailed off with a raised brow.

"I've never really had the best luck with stuff like this," Amy admitted, "I'm scared."

"Hey, you and Adam are great together," Natasha smiled, "I've never seen him happier."

Amy's face brightened and she smiled softly. "Really?"

"Yes. And you know that I mean that because I'm incapable of faking sincerity."

Amy didn't know what to say so instead she launched herself at Natasha and hugged her.

"You also know I hate hugs," Natasha reminded her as she stiffly patted her shoulder.

"Pimento's back!" Rich exclaimed as he rushed over to the two.

"What?!" Their eyes widened in shock.

"He's in the briefing room."

"-And now Nikolaj says he's too frightened to ever sleep again, so that's just superduper," Charles complained heatedly, his eyes glaring at Adrian Pimento.

That's right, Adrian Pimento was back at the 99. But instead of just showing up to the precinct that morning, he spent the night at Charles' house. Without Charles knowing. He'd chosen to hide in Nikolaj's closet for some reason and so when the young boy called his father in to check for monsters in the closet, Charles found Adrian Pimento.

"I don't understand what he's so scared about," Adrian shrugged, not seeing the issue with what he's done, "If I was there to kill him, he never would've heard me."
