"Dev, I need to make a video," i said after she takes the call.
"Oh hey, Magalona," she laughed. I shooked my head and chuckled realizing i didnt even greet her.
"Sorry Dev. Hi. How are you?"
"How are you your face!" she laughed a little louder. "So what is it to me?" she asked.
"Kailangan kita," I almost didnt say it.
"Okay okay. I know. Ano bang gagawin ko?" She deeply sighed.
"Nothing much, Dev. You just have to hold the camera. Take me a video. And.." i started and she butt in, "Whoa. Whoa. Whoa!! Magalona! Sa pagkakalaam ko, ikaw ang nag aral about Photography and filming whatsoever, hindi ako."
"Dev, i'll set everything up. Ikaw lang magpeplay and stop ng camera," i added and heard her say, "Aaaaah. Okay."
"Pwede ka na ba ngayon?" I suddenly asked. I dont know why but I feel like I need to rush or something. In a sec, an idea came up on my mind and I kinda feel like i need to do it immediately - whatever it is.
"Okay! Coming. Gimme an hour," she answered.
"Okay. See you." and then we ended the call. Im so lucky i always have Dev. She's always the best!
I clean the living room area and set up 2 of my cameras around. Focusing the sofa bed where i'll be sitting later and there was a light beside me.
I went outside to check the garden. Flowers are all in bloom which I think what I exactly need. I set up another camera there with my tripod. I'll deal with the light later.
Next stop, the garage area. Pretty neat. Seems okay. I went back inside and checked one of the guest rooms. White sheets. Blue curtains. Open windows. Looked perfect. I guess everything's all good. I made my way downstairs and there i heard a loud beep coming from the outside.
"Magalona!!!" I was holding the remote when i peek through the hole. "Gate!" Dev shouted.
Napatawa ako. Kahit kailan talaga tong si Dev. I pressed the button and the gate opened as Dev parked in.
"Palagyan mo nga ng device yung kotche ko ng derecho nakong makapasok sa bahay niyo! Grabeh!" she complained as she got out from her car. Her first today. Or second? Who could remember? She kind of like complaining. Hindi lang halata.
"So. What's the first scene?" she smiled as she excitedly asked that. Kanina nagcocomplain. Ngayon naman excited. I hid a smile on my face. Girls, really.
"Amm. Sa guest room. All you have to do is to.."
"Play and stop the camera. Copied, Magalona! Lesgow!!" and she ran upstairs and i followed her.
"Where here?" she asked, her face is looking confused.
"Far end right," i said.
Derederecho siyang pumasok at biglang humiga sa kama.
"Pwede namang matulog habang nagfifilm ka jan diba? Ipe-play ko. Tapos nap lang ako. Tawagin mo na lang ako pag stop na," tuloy tuloy niyang sabi sabay pikit ng mata.
I laughed. "Dev, seriously?!"
"Joke lang! Toh naman!" she laughed as well. She walked towards the camera and turned it on.
"Dito na ba na angle kita kukunan? We're having a back shot, right?" she seriously asked as she started adjusting the tripod. Aba, akala ko ba wala siyang alam sa mga ganito? Impressive, Dev.
"Yeah. That's exactly what I want," i answered.
"Right. I'll carefully move the camera as you fix kunwari your hair and your suit and tie. Tama?" is she really guessing? Such genius, Dev!! I nodded.
"Yun lang pala eh. Buti na lang talaga may youtube!" she clapped her hands and i chuckled.
We started the first scene. At first, it was fail and so is the second. We tried for a couple more times until we perfect the scene. Second and third, which are the garage and garden scene were a way lot easier. I went to the rooftop and set up another camera. I turned on and started filming the sun. I left it there and probably come back before the sun sets. I kinda need this in the video.
"Magalona, hindi ba maiksi tong kinuhanan natin?" Dev asked as she one by one checked the videos.
"Actually, mahaba na yan Dev. But Im gonna make a 4 minutes vid lang. May idadagdag pa ako," I told her as she busy herself again examining every part of the scenes. I went to the kitchen and sliced her a lasagna.
"Merienda ka muna," i offered her.
"Thank you," she smiled and watched another video.
I sat beside her and joined her watch the other vids.
"Ikaw na mag eedit sa mga toh?" she asked and bite a spoon of lasagna.
"Yep. Ako ng bahala," i smiled at her.
"Infairness! Ang galing ko ng....." she was about to finish her sentence when my phone vibrated on the other table beside Dev.
"Julie Anne Magalona. Naku mokong, lagot ka!" she looked at me and handed me my phone.
"Anong sasabihin ko?" Panic is written all over my face.
"Ewan!!" Dev laughed.
I cleared my throat before answering the call.
"Love, hi," i greeted nervously.
"Hi baby! Are you busy?"
"Umm, nawp im not that busy. Why?" i looked at Dev and her eyes are locked to mine. Kinakabahan din toh.
"Can we skype for a minute?" She asked. My eyes widened.
"Amm. Love! Kasi.."
"Somethin wrong?" Their was anxiousness on her voice.
"Wala. Nothing is wrong. It's just that.. Love, the wifi is down. I dont know what's wrong with our connection," i lied. I looked at Dev. Ayun, nagpipigil na ng tawa.
"Really? Awww. Di na bale, i'll see you tomorrow!!!" she said excitedly.
Oh yeah. Tomorrow, she's coming home!
"Yes! You better rest there. Remember, mag ce-Cebu pa kayo bukas when you arrive." i reminded her.
"Oh yeah! Geez! I'll hang up now. Dinner with Ninang!"
"Okay, love. See you tomorrow!" i smiled like an idiot.
"I love you! See you bukaaaas!" she giggled.
"I love you most! See you," and then she ended the call.
Dev laughed so loud after i put my phone on the table.
"Love, the wifi is down," panggagaya niya.
"Stop it Dev," i warned her and then i chuckled.
Hindi pa din tumitigil sa kakatawa. I joined in and said, "You know i really dont have an idea of what i was saying. Who knew she'd call at this hour?!"
"I know. But you know what's the best idea youve ever had, Moe?" she stopped laughing and there's a big smile left on her face.
"What?" I looked at her nervously.
She looked around the house and sighed happily. She took her car keys and went outside. Aalis na toh?
Really, what idea was she talking about?
"Uy, Dev!"
"You wanna know what is it?" She was inside her car when she asked that. I nodded.
"The idea of you asking my bestfriend to marry her again. That's the best idea you've ever had, Moe. And thank you for doing it," her smile never leaving her face.
I could marry Her for a hundred times.
I saw Dev inserted her key in the ignition and started her engine.
"Dev," i called as she locked her seat belt.
"Thank you," i smiled. She slowly drive and waved bye and shouted,
"Wala yun! Ayusin mo wifi mo!" and i watched her car slowly fading from my view.
