It was 11 in the morning when i started packing some things for later when i heard the door bell rang. Im not expecting any visitor today. Uh oh, i just hope its not the media.
I went to see my laptop and checked the cctv. Luckily, its not the media. But.. A lady.
Really, im not expecting a visitor today. I rushed downstairs and head straight to the gate to check who it was.
A tall girl wearing a t-shirt and fitted jeans, plus sunglasses on and light lipstick on. My brows met. I really dont know her.
"Amm," i was about to say something when she removed her sunglasses. There i saw her face and so astonished to see her.
"Ate Tina?!" i cant believe she's standing infront of me this moment.
"My Elmo Gwapo Magalona, na nahulog ang puso sa napakagandang si Julie Anne San Jose, kumusta ka na?!" mahabang sabi niya. She often greet me that way even before and I dont know why she always said that but that sounds funny, i guess. I laughed. Same old Ate Tina. My very efficient personal assistant. We were like sibs. I went near her and gave her a hug.
"Ate Tina! Bakit ngayon ka lang nagpakita?! Andami mo ng utang na kwento sa akin!" i chuckled as i held her hand and dragged her inside and went straight to the kitchen so i can prepare her a food while we share stories. Nah, just tryna catch up with her.
"Ang sweet sweet pa din talaga ng alaga ko " i heard her mumbled.
"I miss you, that's why," i flashed a grin in her direction.
"Guess who sent me here?" she asked excitedly and I gave her a slice of cake with a glass of juice and sat opposite her.
"My mom?" i guessed.
"Yes. And im glad bumalik ka na. I knew you'd come back. Hindi kinaya ng puso mo," she took a spoon of cake.
I stared at her.
"It's been a long and sad journey Ate Tina," I sighed.
"I know, bunso. Buti na lang talaga bumalik ka na," she smiled at me. Ate Tina knew the story. Every part of the story. She's like a big sister to me. She's always there when i was really down. She stick around and never left my side during my vulnerable times. And im really thankful to have her back.
Then I remember, "pero Ate Tina, im still not sure about going back to showbiz. Baka mas may nangangailangan pa sayo...."
"Aah, so ayaw mo na ako ganyan? O edi alis nako," pagtatampo niya. I stopped her before she could move.
I laughed. "I didnt ask you to leave. You'll stay with me from now on," i said bossily.
"Pero kailangan kong umuwi tonight. My husband is coming home," ngumiti siya ng matamis. I shook my head.
"Tara sa taas?" Pag-aya niya. I nodded and led the way to our room.
"Ang laki ng bahay niyo ni Julie, bunso!" she told me as she examine every part of the house.
Julie is happy with a simple abode, but since this was supposedly a gift to her before, i decided to make it something extra special. Kumbaga, gusto ko, kumpleto na lahat dito. So we have huge kitchen, a vast space garage, a terrace, a mini theatre or movie room, a mini gym, library, pool, and music room which i havent seen Julie used it.
"Okay ba Ate?"
"Super. For sure ayaw tanggapin ito ni Julie nung binigay mo," she said and she was right. I nodded and she let out a soft chuckle.
"Ate Tina, were going somewhere," i told her and she nodded immediately.
"Alam ko kung saan tayo pupunta," she moved her brows up and down, teasing and i laughed.
"Gamitin natin yung private jet mo, bunso! Nakakamiss sumakay dun," sabi ni Ate tina.
Private jet? My brows met.
"Awww hindi yun yung gagamitin natin? Naka ready pa naman na si Sir Pilot dun!!" there was a disappointment in her voice.
"Ready na? Howd you even know we're going there?" i asked and im really curious about how did Ate Tina know about my plan?
"Moe, kilala kita. 20 years kitang nakasama," she stated a fact. I chuckled after i heard her say that.
We drove away and went to Sir Pilot. We got there and my private jet is still looks good as new. Mom took care of my buddy so well. I smiled and talked to Sir Pilot for awhile. After long minutes, we hit the sky lane and after long hours of flying.. Touchdown Cebu!!!!
We drove to the venue and so surprised to see the crowd. Sobrang dami. We dont even know where and how to get in.
Ate Tina was busy on the phone so i looked around and saw a flower stand nearby. I ran and checked their flowers. They are really fresh. Though i dont really like their combinations.
"Hi po," i greeted. "Do you do custom orders?" i asked. I just wanted a pure white roses bouquet.
"Ay opo. Ano po bang gusto niyo?" A lady came and asked me. I told her i just wanted a pure white rose bouquet. We agreed and she did her part as i waited outside. After 5 minutes or so, she came to gave me my order and i hand over my dime. Without getting my change, i rushed back to Ate Tina's side.
"San ka ba nagpupupuntang bata ka?" Her voice was anxious.
"Ate, bumili lang ako ng bulaklak," and then i showed her the flower. She seemed to like it. Yes! Pasado!
She held my arms as she calls the guard to walk us in. I was surrounded by a five guards. Not so bad. We were close to the backstage entrance when some fans saw me and screamed, "Nakita ko si Elmo!!"
Some started to freaked out and started screaming my name. I run faster and luckily got in before everybody could notice my presence. They asked me to stay inside Julie's dressing room and i agreed. Ate Tina went out to see what was going on outside. I had a little monitor inside and so I watched Julie while interacting with her fans. I guess she's doing a Q and A at the moment.
She looked so beautiful with her outfit today. A black silky jumpsuit. She also got her long hair curl plus a light make up and lipstick.
"Nakita ko si Moe!" somebody screamed again.
"Ano yun?" she laughed.
"Wala po si Elmo ngayon dito. May photoshoot siya ngayong araw. So wala siya," she said.
"Julie, namimiss mo na ba siya? Nabasa kasi namin yung tweet mo kagabi," a fan asked her. Oof. Was i that busy last night to not even notice her tweet?
"Can we stop talking about him? Mas lalo ko kasi siyang namimiss eh," she chuckled as she ran her fingers through her curly hair. I miss you too, love.
"Okay, drop this convo," tumayo na siya. "Thank you guys for coming out today. I know y'all excited to see the rest of the group. My last song is dedicated to all of you," she smiled. The instruments started playing and after a few sec, she began the song. For Everything. The crowd was singing along. She's dancing gracefully in front of them as she sung the chorus. She was waving her hand at the same time. She's about to do the chorus when i thought of something.
I stood up and made my way near the stage with the bouquet in my hand behind me.
"You dont forget to tell me goodnight and kiss me when the morning comes. Hold me tight when something is wrong."
And it was my cue to show up. I walked behind her and the fans went wild. The noise grew louder and i was laughing quietly behind Julie. She has no idea i was just an inches away from her.
"JuliElmo!" the fans were cheering. She look on her left and right side and then finally behind her. She laughed shyly when she saw me. Her hand on her mouth and then tried to finish the song.
Astonishment is written all over her face and she even turned red.
I hugged her after she ended the song.
"Anong ginagawa mo rito?" She laughed.
"Surprise!" I grinned. She let me go for awhile but never she let go of my fingers intertwined to hers. I held her tightly as she speak to her fans again.
"Nasurprise ba kayo, guys? Ako na surprise ako," she laughed again and the fans joined in.
"Elmo Magalona in the house!" and the audiences clapped.
I waved them goodbye after Julie says goodbye again.
We went straight to her dressing room.
"I cant believe youre here!" she gushed. I grinned.
"I cat wait till night to see you so i thought of surprising you," I smiled.
"Thank you, baby. I miss you," she said sweetly and pulled a smile on her face. Her lips are very inviting so i leaned over to kiss her.
How sweet it is to be kissed by her again after a long month of being away. I cant help myself, i pinned her on the wall as we deepen the kiss. I knew from the start that this isnt just a typical kiss. I bit her lower lip and a smile formed on my mouth and she chuckled. My arms tightened around her waist as I kissed her hungrily and she ran her arms around my neck, never wanting to let me go, as she pressed her body on me as we both savor the moment.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
"Moe? Julie?" Such a great timing Ate Tina.
"Ate Tina?" withouht moving an inch, i answered.
"Gusto niyo bang kumain muna?" She asked.
"We will, Ate. Just give us five minutes more," I said and Julie chuckled.
"Lalabas na kami, Ate," she spoke. My eyes widens.
"Babe, its okay," and then she held both side of my face as she continued, "Let's go show ourselves para makauwi na tayo agad, please?"
There i realized that she badly need to rest.
I kissed her soft lips one more time and another one on her forehead. I fixed her hair and then guard her out as we made our way to the mini hall where all artist chill.
"Moe, iuwi mo nayang si Pre. Kakarating lang yan tapos derecho agad dito," Diva sat with us.
"Oo nga eh. But were leaving in 30 minutes," i told Diva and she nodded.
Julie quietly ate her veggie salad after ahe chit chat with some of the artists. After that, we said our goodbyes to Direk Mark and he understand.
"Julie, kaya mo pa ba?" Ate Tina held Julie's back, rubbing it up and down.
"Oo, Ate. Salamat talaga sa pagpunta," Julie smiled.
"Wala yun. Alam mo namang mahal na mahal ko kayong dalawa," Ate Tina held my hand too and i kissed her cheeks.
After a long hours of flying, we arrived safely in Manila and headed straight home after our thank you's and goodbye's. Ate Tina's hubby arrived on time and they both went home too.
"Love, magbihis ka na para makatulog ka na," i told Julie the moment we got out from the car. She smiled and nodded.
Binaba ko yung mga gamit niya at inayos pagdating sa kwarto. She's inside the bathroom now, showering.
I went downstairs to go and get a glass of milk for her to drink after she take abath.
"Moe?" she called.
"Love?" I rushed inside the room and handed her the milk.
"Thank you," she smiled and sat on the bed.
"Magpahinga ka na, i'll just take a shower," i told her before going inside the cr. She nodded and put her glasses on and checked her phone.
It took me 10 minutes or so to wash up. I sat on the bed beside her and pulled her into a hug. Without breaking her gaze to her phone, she held my face.
"Nagkakagulo ulet sila sa twitter," napailing niyang sabi. I looked at her screen and its true, sabog ang mentions niya. Hindi na ako magtataka pag sabog din sa akin.
"Tama na yan, love. Magpahinga ka na," i told her quietly.
"Last," she said and i saw her typed in something on her twitter.
"it feels good to be back home. Thank you, Cebu. Goodnight everyone! ??"
"Sige na," i removed her glasses and got her phone after she tweeted.
"Thank you for today," she whispered and kissed my lips. I smiled and tap her head.
"I love you," i whispered.
"I love you," she answered and then she hugged me tight. After a few minutes, she loosen her grip and i knew she had fallen asleep.
I turned on my phone and checked twitter. I visited her account and retweeted her tweet earlier. I grinned and locked my phone. I tucked us under the quilt, kissed her forehead and drift off to sleep.
It really feels great to be with her again. At last, she's finally here by my side. She's home.
