I was having my coffee in the morning when my manager called. I wonder what is this for.
"Hello Tito, magandang umaga." i greeted him.
"Hi, Moe. How are you?" He asked as our convo started.
"Im good Tito, you? What is this call all about?" that question came out of my mouth without my notice.
"There. You asked. Many are asking if you could go for an interview tomorrow," he finally said it.
I think for awhile. I was ready for this. I knew i was.
"Who are asking?"
"Morning News, Star Talk, Showbiz News, T.Yap Show," he gave me an option and once He mentioned Tim's, I knew he's the best one to talk to.
"Tim. Just Tim," i answered and said "Okay," and gave me the time for the interview.
This is it. No turning back. It's time to face the other world.
"For a starter, i wanna thank this guy for the trust and time para sa interview na ito. He has been the talk of the town this last couple of hours and tonight, live na live, makakausap natin si Mr. Elmo Magalona," he introduced and then it's my cue to show up.
I waved hi to the camera before giving Tim a warm hug before sitting down.
"Moe, mararaming maraming salamat sa pagpayag para sa interview na ito," he smiled at me.
"Walang anuman. Aminan lang," i laughed as he joined in.
Without any further bluhs, he automatically asked, "Totoo bang nagkabalikan na kayo ni Julie Anne San Jose?"
"Yes," i simply said.
"So the gossip was true. And im so happy for you, Moe," i know and i can feel the sincerity on his voice.
"Thank you, Tim," i flashed a smile.
"Nawala ka ng tatlong taon, ano ang naging buhay mo sa America?"
I dont even know what to tell him first but i settled on my first thought, "I studied more about music, directing, rapping, remixing and a bunch of stuff. I once thought that it was the best idea to stay there for good but I left my heart here."
"..And that we all know," he butt in and I nodded.
"People said you cheated before. Was that true?" His question wasnt really sequential. And im starting to feel that he was afraid to get to his point.
"I never cheated, Tim. People talk about my whereabouts as if they really know. They talk about these and that as if they are me. They dont understand," i shook my head and i looked at him, listening intensely to what i was saying.
"Yes, we can never avoid people talking shits about you, yknow." Tim continued. Now were getting there, i can feel it.
"Yes. Exactly," i agreed.
"People saw you yesterday, hinatid mo si Julie sa airport. And then reporters were around you asking questions. Then you stopped and said," he looked at me and his brows met.
I chuckled and added, "That im happy with her right now."
"That's the exact line you told the papz, yes," he giggled.
"Yeah. And once and for all, for those who are asking, yes, Julie and I are back together again and im just happy Tim. You know that, to be by her side again. It's been three long years. My heart deserves to be happy," mahabang nasabi ko. Im so focused into this moment. Again, i forgot about the others. What i can only see was me and Tim talking about my personal life heart to heart, eye to eye.
"I know, Moe. It has been a worst nightmare. But what happened in the past must be forgotten for today's a new chance to begin again," now i feel relieved that in a chaotic showbiz world, there will always be some who could well understand you and your stand.
"Exactly that. And im trying to keep my relationship with Julie more private," i confessed. true that the fans must know what's going on, but I cant let them see everything about us.
"You should," he nodded.
"But people never stop to judge every move you do. it's painful on my part, but i really dont have time for them or for me to explain. they dont know about us. And im extremely happy right now and happier pag nandito siya sa tabi ko ngayon but she's in New York right now," i smiled.
"Oh yeah. For a show and mini tour, right?" excited na tanong ni Tim.
"Yes."
"Moe, aminin mo, namimiss mo siya," he was laughing when he asked me that.
I shook my head while smiling like an idiot in front of the camera as i nodded, "Sobra. Ilang araw ko pa lang siyang hindi nakikita, alam mo yung feeling na...." i tried to think of a better word but i cant go on any further and suddenly mumbled, "incomplete."
"Now guys, wala mg itinago si Mr. Elmo Magalona tungkol sa kanila ni Julie. Tonight, he cleared things out. First, yes nagkabalikan sila, second, he wanted to keep his relationship with Julie as private as possible and third, namimiss na niya si Julie and fourth, He's simply back." He smiled at the camera.
"Thank you Moe," we hugged each other as he asked,
"May plano ka ba? Babalik ka na ba sa showbiz?"
"Oh yeah. Definitely yes. Namiss kong kumanta," i laughed.
"So to all JuliElmo fans, watch out. I can feel great things are coming ahead. Let us not expect but hope for the best. Thank you Moe for being here tonight," tuloy tuloy niyang sabi at napailing na lang ako't napangiti.
This was a short interview but the important is, i've spoken and let the world know a glimpse of I and Julie's world.
I shouldnt listen to any gossips anywhere. Because i know, no matter how i try to explain everything, they will never understand every single thing we have been through. That they dont really know about us.
I was home before 1 AM. Once i got in the house I went straight to the orange room to lay down.
Before i can close my eyes, my phone vibrates.
There was a message from her.
"Baby, can we skype for awhile?" my face lit up the second i red her message on imessage.
Before I tap the skype icon, everything flashbacks on my mind.
