"Hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi!!!" sunod sunod niyang bati ng masagot niya yung video call ko. Facetime agin. Ngumiti ako and answered, "Hello, love."
She's on her bed right now but her glasses were still on.
My brows met and she asked, "Bakit?"
"Are you sick?" I anxiously asked her but she shooked her head once.
"Nawp. Masakit lang yung ulo ko. At yung mata ko. At yung ilong ko. And my lips are dry. Because of the weather," tuloy tuloy niyang sabi.
"You're really sick. Tell me. Julie Anne," Now i'm worried.
"Ssssshhh," she shushed me and her lips are so red. "Babe, wala toh. I swear," she smiled and i sighed. This is the hardest when i'm away from her. I just cant guard her all the time.
"Baby, i'm all good. You and your serious face. Again. Please. Let's not talk about this. Mas lalo akong magkakasakit," she let out a cough a little. I sighed one more time and nodded.
Tinititigan lang niya ako. Without saying anything, she removed her glasses and I fully saw her eyes. Singkit na naman. May sakit nga siya. Kaya pala nag glasses to hide them.
Suddenly, her dry lips moved and arched a smile on her face and said, "I'm gonna see you soon. 2 days more."
"2 days?" akala ko ba 1 day na lang?
"Oh yeah. I forgot to tell you, dederecho pala kami sa Cebu the next day morning. May show doon and then i asked Tita Tracy to book me a flight to Manila immediately after so I can go home and rest," she explained.
"Auuuw. But love, i have a photoshoot on your arrival day. I cant fetch you at the airport," I pouted.
"Which shoot?" She asked as she blew her nose and i heard her say, "Excuse me," and then looked at me again.
"Remember my short journey?" I was talking about my 3 month or so journey in the North.
"Aaaah, that! Para dun ba yung shoot?" She fixed her quilt and hugged her pillow.
I nodded. "Yep. So i'll ask Rad to pick you up and drive home. I cant let you drive, babe."
"I know. I know. At walang problema dun, okay? I'll see at night that day, okay?" she moved her brows up and down.
"Stop doing that," i laughed. She looked funny when she does that. She stopped and giggled.
Then there was a silence and it was my turn to stare at her for like five minutes saying nothing. After it, she broke the silence, "have you decided about making a new album?"
Yes.
My finger on my chin pretending that i was thinking and said, "Uhhh.. Yeah. I've written one song. But it's unfinished. Draft pa lang, love. And dont ask me to sing some lines for you kasi hindi pa talaga siya kumpleto."
"Okay okay. Tapusin mo na," she begged.
"Will try. Will do," i smiled.
"Yes!" she screamed happily and i laughed at her reaction.
"Sige na, love. You have to rest. Sleep na," im trying.
"Ayoko pa! Grabeh Magalona! You just got signed in! Kanina magkasama kayo ni Dev. She told me! She told me nagkwentuhan kayo over coffee. Hindi ko alam kung may sikreto ba kayo or ano," pagtatampo niya.
Sikreto. Uh oh.
"Hey hey! Love, we talked about her and Will using the Paris trip ticket I got her on her birthday. Yun lang. I swear to you. The tix are gonna expire next month. Kaya kailangan na nilang umalis soon. In return, nilibre niya ako ng coffee, nagkwentuhan kami and that's it!" Mahabang explanation ang inabot ko. Dev didnt tell me that they were chatting! Oh yeah, i almost forgot they're besties. I laughed on that thought.
"Why are you laughing?" she asked. Her tone of voice changes. Like a boss, this time.
"Kasi ang cute cute mo," i chuckled.
Her face is still expressionless. I guess she's not buying anything i said. Uh oh.
"Love, im telling you...." i started but she burst out in laughter. Huh? Anong nangyari?
"HAHAHAHA. Babe, depensing ka kasi!!!! HAHAHAHA. I love you!" she laughed. Na-stress ako dun ah.
"I love you," i whispered. "Baby, seriously, you need to sleep now." Yung mata niya kasi. Masyado ng singkit. Hindi ko na nakikita yung eyeballs niya pag ngumingiti.
"Okay. As you wish!! But!" i sighed. Julie and her "BUT"ssss.
"Okay.. But??" i arched one brow.
"But you have to sing," she smiled without showing her teeth. This girl really.
I didnt think twice for I know this is the only way that i could do to make her feel better.
"Okay, close your eyes, and sleep. Dream happy dreams. And i love you," i whispered before i started singing.
I know she'll drift off to sleep after a few sec so i sing straight the chorus.

I repeated the chorus twice and i focused my sight on her breathing.
She's sleeping now. I sighed. I looked at her face on my screen for ten minutes long before ending the call.
I held the ring and stared at it as well and then back to Julie.
Soon, love. I smiled.
I was about to end the call when i heard her mumbled, "I love you, Moe," while asleep.
"I love you, love. I'll see you real soon." Then i ended the call.
I cant describe this feeling but i know that this is beyond happiness and the pureness of love. Wow. Just wow. This feeling is the best.
