I got to the hospital an hour after Dev's call. As i was making my way to the ER, i saw Julie's Dad talking to a doctor.
"Pwede niyo na po siyang iuwi since hindi naman malala yung nangyari. There's really nothing to worry about, Mr. San Jose," i overheard the Doctor. I stopped for a minute and waited for them to finish their talk and after which, Tito Jonathan met my gaze and walked towards me. He invited me to sit down for awhile to talk.
"Tito, alam ko po na galit pa rin kayo sa akin," i started. I dont even know what to say first. That's just came out of my mouth very sudden.
"Moe, matagal na yun. Wag mo ng isipin yun. Nagalit kami sayo dateh, but let's all leave that behind. Ang importante, masaya siya ngayon and I can clearly see that," he seriously answered. The feeling is beyond happiness. Para na din akong natanggalan ng tinik knowing that there's nothing more to worry.
"We'll be here for two months. Okay lang ba sayo na sa amin muna tumira si Julie for a month?" he then added. A silence fell and i took my time to think for a bit and spoke,
"You dont need to ask Tito. Opo, okay lang po sa akin," i tried to smile but i know it didnt reached my eyes. A month. I wont be seeing her for a month? It would be too much and harder for Julie to travel but I have no choice but to agree.
He smiled at me and stood up.
"Tara na. Kanina ka pa niya hinahanap," he smiled once more before walking to ER.
I got there and saw the nurse fixed her medical kit and left after.
Julie touched her hand once more before lifting her head.
"Moe," she stood up and I ran to her and gave her a warm embrace.
"Hi," i whispered as my arms run around her back to hold her tight.
"Are you feeling better now?" i asked and moved her hair covering her left eye. She nodded and smiled.
I kissed her forehead before looking around.
"Tito, mauna na po kayo. Susunod na lang po kami," i smiled at Tito Jonathan and Tita Ivic and they both nodded.
"Ingat kayo ha?" Tita Ivic gave me and Julie a kiss on the cheek before she walked outside.
As soon as they're gone, my eyes and focused turned to Julie again.
"Love, are you sure you're okay now?"
"Oo. Macho ako, remember?" she whispered. Aaah, nahihirapan siyang magsalita. She really need to give her voice a rest.
"Your voice is terrible. You have to rest for awhile," i suggested and she nodded right away.
"Lets get you home," i added and held her hand.
I started the engine and drove away. Good thing the traffic isnt heavy, i made it to the short cut route in 30 minutes.
"Moe, hindi naman ito yung daan pauwi sa bahay," may pagtataka sa mukha niya.
How can i tell her that she's not going home to our house? Ugh.
"Amm. It's a surprise, love," i tried to smile but her gaze bore on mine as she speak again,
"Moe, uwi na tayo. Next time na tayo mag roadtrip please?" naiiyak niyang sabi.
I dont have a plan of saying it right at this moment but i knew i have to. Now.
"Julie, dun ka muna titira kila Daddy mo for a month," i confessed.
"What?" with her terrible voice, she managed to made a sound.
"He asked me that. Gusto ka nilang makasama. But dont worry. One month lang naman daw," im trying my very best to convince her that it would be okay.
"Why did you agree? Pwede ko naman silang puntahan everyday. Ayoko lang tumira dun. Bakit ka pumayag?" she said with a teary eyes. I dont know her reason why she dont wanna stay there but i knew my decision was right.
"Love, nakiusap ng maayos and daddy mo. And i said yes kasi anak ka nila. And they miss you so much," i went on.
But she ended it with a, "You dont get my point," and looked at the window. She never tried to look at me again until we reached their home.
Tito welcomed us in and i carried Julie's bags up to her room.
"Magpapahinga na po ako," she whispered to her mom and dad and followed me upstairs.
"Andito yung mga gamit mo. Pag may kailangan ka pa, im just a call away, okay?" i told her as she climb up the bed and she tucked herself in and turned her back on me as she surprisingly said, "Leave." Alam ko nagtatampo siya or more like galit.
"Julie naman," i knelt infront of her but her eyes were closed.
"Lets talk before i leave," i pleaded but she just let her eyes shut.
"I wanna rest. You can leave now," she mumbled. I know she hates the idea of my agreement of her stay here but i just cant say no. I respect her parents so much and the fact that they havent seen each other for a long time, gusto ko ding mag bonding sila alone with her family. I surely dont get Julie's point but i know i did the right thing. She needs to be here. She needs to stay.
I stared at her face for a minute before standing up and closed the door.
I said goodbye to the family and they thanked me for bringing Julie home. After which, i hit the road again and clueless where to go.
I just wanna drive.
