I shoveled the last bit of dirt on Rush's grave and laid down my shovel. Everyone was holding candles around his grave and Carmina placed a bouquet of handpicked flowers on it.

"Rush, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I got on that train. I'm sorry I brought you to Hope County. We'll always remember you. You took a risk for us, and it cost you your life. This is all my fault, Rush." Carmina spoke. "I promise we'll make you proud." She ended her speech as Kim hugged her.

"Rush... God..." I choked up as Jacob rubbed my back subconsciously; tears burned my eyes and threatened to spill down my cheeks. "It's not Carmina's fault. It's mine. I let you down... I let Prosperity down... I failed you. I failed Prosperity. And I will never be able to forgive myself. Ever. You were my best friend, Rush. I'll avenge your death so you can rest in damn peace. I won't let those fucking Twins get away with this, Thomas." Tears rolled down my face and I couldn't get them to stop.

Carmina walked off after my little speech; she was feeling guilty and I was too, but I stayed, my feet planted into the ground. I was too drained and too remorseful and too ashamed of myself to move, staring at his grave.

"He was a good man. Selfless..." Kim stated as she looked at me. "And you, Dep... you did everything you could." She walked over to me, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Those fucking Twins are always a step ahead. We need another angle. I'm gonna go check on Carmina. When you want to hear what I have in mind, come talk to me."

"I can't stand here in front of his goddamn grave anymore. I need to hear your plan stat." I said a little too harshly as I followed her inside the old ranch, Jacob following me.

Once we all three were inside, Kim started informing me of her plan. "We're all shaken by the loss of Rush, but we can't let up. As much as I hated the idea of talking to Joseph, I have to admit that having New Eden attack the Highwaymen has give us a chance to blindside them. Didn't you meet some crazy little fucker named Irwin? If he's as close to the Twins as he claims, he might be our way in."

"That's a great fuckin' plan, Kim." I agreed, taking it all in. "I'll radio Irwin now." I turned my radio on, "Irwin, come in little fucker."

"Slick, you come find me near the old prison. I got wheels in motion you're gonna wanna get behind." Irwin voiced over the radio, his accent thick.

"Copy that." I replied.

"So. There's that." Jacob butted in. "Let's go."

An Hour Later—

"You want the Twins, right? Wanna get close enough to count their nose hairs? Well, I got a way to do that. Normally, I'd just walk ya up and introduce you to the Twins straight off, but I'm on the outs with 'em right now." Irwin shrugged as we were standing close to the old prison. "Told 'em they were fuckin' up and they got all huffy, it's a whole thing."

"Goddamnit, Irwin, nothing is ever fucking easy with you, huh?" I sighed angrily.

"Well, you want the fuckin' Twins or not, Deputy?"

I took a deep breath, "Continue."

"That's not important. What's important is that now, the Twins are all over this guy, Frank. Like he's their best friend or somethin'. They even made him the fuckin' warden of the prison! Can you believe that? They know me and him don't get along. He's such a dick."

"Sounds like it. All wardens I knew back in the day were douchebags."

"Yeah. And you know what it is, Lou has a thing for me and she want to make me jealous, okay? Why else would they even talk to that asshole? So, the number one part of the plan is— you gotta kill Frank."
