Chapter 20: Fall Apart

     A massive headache, feeling dizzy, and only seeing blurry figures moving above her head. That's how it was for her for the past 5 minutes. She kept closing and opening her eyes weakly trying to ease that pain. The pain started fading slowly and she was finally able to open her eyes and clearly see her friends gathered around her and looks of relief were drawn inside their eyes. Some of them were crying happy tears. She slowly asked.

Melody: What... What happened?

     She was still holding her head in pain but instead of an answer, she was welcomed back with a warm hug from that soft blueberry. It didn't take him long to realize they were in public and break the hug slowly with a slight shade of pink on his cheeks. Honestly, it made her feel special, loved, and accepted. Marinette was just about to talk when they heard the ambulance's sirens nearby and saw nurses coming in to check on both Melody and Adrien. They first stepped towards Adrien, the famous model, to check on him. That's when Melody finally remembered what happened. She stuttered.

Melody: I... I was giving Adrien that bottle when... It felt so strong and powerful and... WHERE'S ADRIEN!!! Is he okay? Did he get hurt? Did he die?... Because of me... I killed him, right?

     She started crying and sniffing as she broke down and felt so guilty and weak. Luka quickly tapped on her shoulder to calm her down as she still didn't see Adrien.

Luka: Calm down, Melody. Adrien is alright. He's totally fine.

    He then pointed at Adrien who was sitting on a chair they brought him and the nurses were bandaging his right hand. She breathe in relief that's when Luka asked in concern.

Luka: What about you? Are you alright? Do you feel any pain anywhere?

    She answered in a low voice.

Melody: No, not that much just... My back hurts a little but it's nothing serious. I can still stand up just take my hand, please.

   He smiled and silently got up then took her hand and helped her up. It all happened as everyone was watching and the chemistry between them was so obvious. She was stepping towards Adrien to check on him. When he saw her, he shouted.

Adrien: Melody, you're safe!! Please, just stay where you are.

    He said and she froze.

     "Is he scared of me? Am I dangerous?"

    He continued.

Adrien: I still don't know what is going on but it's better to keep a distance until we know for sure what is happening.

    She looked at him, scared as she felt dangerous on everyone. She didn't know what Adrien knew. She still had no clue about her destruction aura and that simply would never come to her head. The only way she was able to translate all this was...

Gabriel: Adrien, son. Are you alright?

    Adrien replied with a smile.

Adrien: Don't worry, Dad. I am fine. It's just my wrist. It is sprained a little but it will heal in no time really.
