It was 2 a.m when she rolled over her bed unable to sleep. She was thinking and over thinking about what it means to forgive someone. She knew at some point she must confront Peter. Even if someday she'll forget about it. She wants to live a life with no regrets and she might regret not talking to him right now when she can. And she still needs to forgive her mother and her father for leaving her so early and she needs to forgive Stephanie for the hell she made her school life look like and she still can't forgive them although she wants to.

The scars they cut through her still hurt. They never healed in the first place. But she must do something because if she didn't take a step, things will always be the same and this same sucks so she has to act now before her mind changes its mind and she takes out that SIM card and place it inside her phone then dials his number.

He was sitting in that hotel room with Lucy and his father when his phone rang. He thought it might be Mike or Lisa, his aunt Emma as a worst possibility. His eyes grew wide at the phone screen and he ran outside the door and to the stairs that led him to the roof right above. He accepted the call and waited for a voice from the other side of the line, parallel reality, the other side of the universe and it was her.

Peter: Melody!!

Melody: Hello, Peter.

It was a cold, emotionless, deadly tone in her voice but it was more than he ever wished for. He's been dialing this phone number for month, especially after the last time they met. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough time back then to talk so now, there's plenty of it, he wished.

Peter: Melody, I am so glad you reached out.

Melody: Yeah...

The feeling of worry started attacking him and soon guilt. The guilt he never knew how to handle since she was gone. He asked.

Peter: Melody, what's wrong?

He was so desperate for her to say anything meaningful. He felt ashamed of how he was never there for her when something was wrong and when he asks her right now to speak to him, he feels like the worst person on Earth. Of course she won't tell him what's worng because she can't trust him. Because he was never there to solve what's wrong. He could hear her voice, weak, broken as it came out.

Molody: I thought, I could just call you, you know. To check if my big bro was still there by any chance.

And he was silenced. Yes, she's right. He was never there. He was never ever there and it kills him everytime it comes crashing at his heart and he is silenced. He is forcing his brain to form any response but his lips are stitched so she talks.

Melody: There are somethings you need to know, Peter. You have the right to know all of it.

Peter: I watched the content of the flash memory you left me. I was doing my best to reach dad and our grandparents and that master and Emma and I only want to find a way to remember all this when you use the last wish so that I could make things right between us. I know I have been terrible to you and I am so sorry, nothing can be enough to compensate you but please, give me a chance.

Melody: Honestly, I am not sure if I could ever forgive you, Peter. At least I am trying...

He was silent again when she continued.

Melody: You might remember this one day but maybe it will be too late.

He felt like he should panic right now because she said it like she knew something he didn't know.

Melody: And by the way, you shouldn't be sorry. Once I am back, Delaney will rip your heart of its place and avenge herself and then she'll kill me and we'll be gone for good.
