Chapter 5: A Huge Mistake

Melody stared at Marinette knowing for sure what she was thinking. She totally suspected her.

" Think Melody, think. She can't reveal my identity, now. Be quick. Think of anything..."

She squeezed her brain only to be surprised at the brilliant idea she got at last.

Melody: Marinette, did you see that? A new heroine was flying past this window. I saw her.

Melody screamed pointing outside the window. Marinette surely believed that and ran to the window in hope of seeing that mysterious heroine. Of course, her hopes were down as she found no one and turned to Melody. She caught her shoulders and started moving Marinette backward and forward while asking nervously.

Marinette: Really!! How did she look like? Do you know her? Did she talk to you?

Melody: What? Noo... I just saw her passing by the window, that's it. She was wearing a blue suit and flying with her wings. I don't remember anything else.

Marinette: Wings? Weird... But maybe true.

Melody: Why are you asking? Did you see her too?

Marinette: What? No, I... Uh... Yes... I saw her... Yeah... Walking on top of the school. Yeah... That's all.

Melody: Weird... That new heroine. She's so mysterious.

"This way, she'll never get me busted. I am brilliant."

Marinette: Yeah, something is off.

Melody: What do we have to do with it anyway. It's Ladybug's matter, right?

The bell then rang and with this, Melody was victorious. She had to do it only for once and that heroin will never show up again and she will forget all about it. That's what will happen. That is what only Melody thought will happen.

Meanwhile, in a specific Agreste mansion, the old man was screaming, calling for his personal assistant to come and give him an explanation he already knew she didn't have.

Gabriel: NATALIE!!!

Natalie: Yes sir!!

Gabriel: They were within my reach, Natalie. I was finally going to get them. What happened? What was that thing that ruined it this time?

Natalie: I don't know, sir. Maybe it's a new miraculous holder.

Gabriel: But why would they show up that late then? There's something that's not adding up. I need you to solve this mystery, Natalie. I need to know who's that.

Back to school and after a full day of learning and having fun, they all separated in front of the school's gate. Marinette was supposed to help her parents with a big pastries order or that's what she said to go and watch Adrien's photoshoot without anyone knowing. Alya had babysitting to do and Nino was supposed to get his little brother to the football training. Melody, on the other hand, had nothing to do so they said their goodbyes and she headed home to take a rest. The moment she arrived, she collapsed on her bed while the blue creature came floating out of her purse and stood flying in front of her.

Ritti: Wow!! The place inside this purse is huge. You can find everything there.

Melody: I know, right? A magical purse that can give you anything. Every girl's dream.

She got out her phone to see what day is it when the date got her feelings mixed between Joy and sorrow.
