It was one of December's cold nights. 23rd of December to be exact and it wasn't a normal day. It was just when this tragedic story started. Or as they thought was getting to an end. The lady was standing in the kitchen cooking dinner for her kids. She was playing slow music on her phone and listening to it peacefully trying to find her way out of fear. She was chopping some tomatoes for the pasta she was cooking when she scratched her finger by wrong. Blood came out of the wound painting her hand in deep red. The lady groaned in pain and walked to where the first aid kit was hanged on the wall. She took out a little bandage from it and covered the wounded finger then moved back to the stove that's when her little daughter came asking.

Melody: Mommy! What are you making for dinner? It smells so good.

6 years old Melody commented with her squeaky sweet voice. The lady looked at her cute little girl and replied.

Isabelle: I am cooking some pasta. I know they are your favorites.

The little girl childishly jumped in happiness and pure joy.

Melody: Yes!! Yes!

The lady laughed at that cute happy smile on her daughter's face before the girl excitedly hugged her tall mother's legs as she was so short. The lady was 35 years old. Her hair was dark as night while her eyes were as green as the spring forests. Her skin was white as winter snow and her body was so fit and perfectly shaped. She was wearing a long red skirt with a white top and simply, she was the symbol of perfection. And despite those perfect looks, her soul was darker than the moon without its sun. Melody ran to the living room and started teasing her 15 years old brother.

Melody: Look! Mommy made me pasta because I like it. She won't make you any burgers until you give me back my chocolate bars.

The lady heard Melody say and called for Peter still keeping her peaceful calm tone.

Isabelle: You took your sister's chocolate bars? Again Peter!!! She studied a lot to get those. Don't be selfish.

The teen ignored what his mother just said and kept looking in his phone while replying to Melody.

Peter: You're only getting pasta because it's your birthday. Stop acting as if you're so special.

He said in boredom that's when Isabelle got out of the kitchen and started scolding Peter for what he just said.

Isabelle: Come on, Peter. Why did you ruin the surprise?

Melody turned around to look at her mother who was standing next to the kitchen's door and asked in excitement and happiness drawn all over her face.

Melody: Mom! Is it right? Today is my birthday!

The lady leaned down to face the little girl and smiled at her softly and answered.

Isabelle: It's one of the most beautiful days I've ever had. My cute little daughter is turning 6 in a few hours. I am so proud of what you have become, Melody. You're so special my dear and one day, you'll bloom and make this mess right. I want you to grow up and be true despite all the obstacles that you will face. For me, you are the symbol of justice. I am counting on you. And remember Melody, always do the right thing. I believe in you.

She got up again and looked at Peter trying to get revenge for ruining the surprise and taking Melody's chocolates. She would only say the truth though.

Isabelle: Oh, one more thing. I invited Rachelle and Melissa. Their kids are coming too.

The guy heard and stared for a couple of minutes at the nothing before freaking out and jumping off the couch hurrying up to his room and shouting.
