Chapter 37: Truth

In his room, the guy was walking right to left and left to right trying to release his stress. Juleka didn't understand his tension so she asked.

Juleka: Why are you so worried? Is something going on?

He replied to that in denial.

Luka: No, I just don't feel like laying on my bed.

He lied and she knew he was lying but decided not to force him to talk and returned to her phone.

That feeling of worrier he had was all because of what she told him last night.

Flashback

Melody: Luka! Listen. Tomorrow I am going to visit the guardian. I'm not expecting this to go so well. I am not expecting the truth to be easy so if anything happened and something went wrong. If I ever got akumatized or turned into a monster, please make sure I don't hurt anyone. Do all you can to stop me...

Her eyes turned teary as her body shook and she said that last sentence.

Melody: Even if it meant to kill me. Take one of my arrows and do it, please.

He quickly hugged her and was nearly crying himself at what she said but he tried his best to calm her down though.

Luka: Nothing bad is going to happen to you as long as I am here, Melody. Do you hear me? I will do everything to keep you safe.

It was some time before they broke the hug and he asked her softly with a bit of worrier in his voice.

Luka: Melody, I need to ask you something. Please, whatever the truth might be, let's share it together. Don't let any secrets get between us, please. Secrets do nothing but harm people and I don't want you to get hurt.

He was so worried to the point where he felt useless. He couldn't stay around her or else he might discover Ladybug's identity. On the other hand, staying here wasn't a good idea. The possibilities were endless. What if she couldn't handle it? What if she ended up glitching or hurting someone? She'd never forgive herself. She might never be happy. Although it was a bad feeling, it was new to him. He has never been worried about someone that much before. Experience that feeling made him feel different and how dangerous can these secrets be. His phone then rang pulling him out of his thoughts. It was an unknown number. He quickly picked up the phone expecting it to be Melody and walked outside the room to the top of the ship but a male voice talked instead.

Felix: Good evening. I am talking to Luka Coffaine, right.

The guy couldn't recognize the voice so he asked.

Luka: Yes, who am I talking to?

Felix: I am Felix. I hope you remember the name.
