Chapter 6: Trust Her

Melody was sitting in her room and playing classic music on the TV while doing her homework in peace as telling her kwami the story about how she ended up here.

Ritti: What a coward? How can he abandon you like that?

Melody: I never expected him to care that much anyway. He never cared about me, not when we were kids, and not when we grew up. He always had his own social life and when he finally graduated, he got married to Jasmine who literally hated the idea that I exist, as if I had a choice. She turned me into a maid and when he comes home, she tells him how good friends we are and how she worked all day just to cook him that delicious meal and he would always believe her. It got me to a point where I just gave up on even trying to explain myself. I just let him believe what he wants to believe or else I will be the disobedient girl. And after all this, he comes at the end and tells me, "hey Melody, I want to travel with my wife to Canada and you're stopping me so I will kick you out and put you in an orphanage". And guess what? He expected me to be okay with that and say "yes, I understand my big caring brother because I trust you so much".

She was acting sarcastically and said that in a silly squeaky voice. The kwami replied.

Ritti: Instead, you ran away from home and left him totally freaking out about where you are now.

Melody: Let him suffer for a while. A week or two and he will totally forget about me. I know him.

Ritti: You know that he won't give up, right? He's a police officer. If not about you then about his job. He will search for you.

Melody: But he will never find me here, right?

She looked at her kwami with a smirk on her face. The kwami palmed her face and flew to the fridge while whispering.

Ritti: I am dealing with a hopeless case.

Melody was able to hear her though, she replied in a tone high enough to reach her kwami.

Melody: Yes, you are!!!

She then started listening to the song playing on TV and hum with it.

Melody: 🎶Never lie to mee.... Mhm... to me. 🎶

When suddenly, the TV went on live breaking that peaceful quiet mood in the air and it showed Ladybug streaming live on the news Channel. Melody quickly looked up with extreme concentration to hear some unpleasant news.

Ladybug: Citizens of Paris. As you all know, me and chat noir are trying our best to protect this city and finish howkmoth once and for all but we might need your help to succeed this time. There's a villain running loose in Paris. We can expect any kind of nasty plans from howkmoth and the holder of the peacock miraculous so if you have seen her anywhere, contact the police immediately and we will be there in no time. Howkmoth is using new strategies but together we can get him down.

At first Melody got excited.

"Who might that be? A new villain in town that I get to help ladybug and chat noir capture. That sounds exciting"

That was what she thought until the screen showed a picture... Of her!! She quickly ran to the TV screen and shouted in shock.

Melody: WHAT THE HELL??!!!

Her blood started boiling in anger as she walked the room left to right a few times trying her best to get out her anger.

Melody: I SAVED HER LIFE. I LITERALLY SAVED HER MIRACULOUS AND THIS IS WHAT I GET IN RETURN. SHE TURNS ME INTO A WANTED CRIMINAL. UGH...

She punched the wall behind her trying to pour her anger on anything before collapsing on the couch and trying to hold in the anger inside her. She looked down while burying her head inside her hands not noticing the Akuma that infiltrated through the window and was seeking for her necklace as a nest for evil. Luckily, Ritti saw it coming and warned Melody.
