Chapter 3: Rewrite The Story

On the first sunbeam of the morning, Melody woke up with all the means of happiness in her heart. She woke up expecting all that happened to her to be just a dream. A good dream that she enjoyed so much but she was feeling so cozy, not as usual. She actually never felt this comfortable in the morning before. She was expecting Jasmine's screams and orders waking her up but couldn't hear a thing. She called in a low voice still too tired to open her eyes.

Melody: Jasmine? Are you there?

It's either she's screaming or waiting with a knive next to her bed, ready to strike at the right moment. There wasn't alot of other options why her morning could be this peaceful.

She started making sleepy theories. Maybe jasmine died... No she would wake up on Peter's loud screams if that's the case. Maybe she died and this is what heaven feels like... No she doesn't pray enough to go to heaven.

When thoughts began to awaken her curiosity, she finally opened her eyes. A white clean roof? Is this a hospital? She quickly gets up and looks around, the happiness taking her on a dopamine rush.

"It's all real!! It wasn't a dream! Oh my dear lord, I am the happiest girl in the univers!"

She caught her phone to check the time that's when her smile disappeared and panic took its place.

Melody: OMG!!! IT'S 7:45!!! I AM LATE FOR SCHOOL!!!

She quickly got up and started panicking while doing her morning routine. She took a quick shower and brushed her teeth then got into her ordinary blue jeans and plain yellow hoddie. She put her hair in her usual high ponytail and grabbed her purse and a school backpack she found on the desk then rushed her way out to school.

"Oh no, I have only got 10 minutes left for school. Maybe the cozy bed isn't the best thing that has happened to me. I am already late for my first day of school. I am such a mess".

She kept running until she has finally reached there. She was late a little bit but the classes haven't started yet, that's a relief. She quickly entered the school gate before the librarian would close it but suddenly felt her head bumping into someone's. She looked up to find it Marinette. They both looked at each other for a moment trying to process and when they did, they laughed really hard while running their way upstairs.

Melody: Sorry about that?

Marinette: It's fine. It's actually great to know that I am not the only late-comer in school now.

Melody: hehe... The cozy bed tricked me this time but why are you late?

Marinette: I forgot to set an alarm. Usual me.

They both laughed again. As they reached the first floor, they both waved goodbye. Marinette walked to class while Melody decided to go to the principal's office to know for sure if she's a student in this school or not. She reached the office and knocked on the door asking for permission to get in.

Principal: Come in, please.

She heard him say and entered to find another person sitting on a chair in there. As she stepped ahead, she could clearly see that face and it was...

"Lila? Hm... Why would she be here? She doesn't usually appear in the show."

The principal's voice then came interrupting her thoughts.

Principal: Welcome to our school young lady. You must be Melody Matthew, the newly transferred student. Am I right?

Melody: Ye... Yeah. That's me.
