On the other side of the screen, specifically in London. Melody's story seemed to be over. The girl that disappeared in thin air was finally assumed dead as no one found any clue that could lead to her place. That's what they told him in the police station after countless tries of finding her. He's just arrived home from work and was exhausted physically and mentally. He failed and he couldn't stop blaming himself. Those were his mother's last words before she was gone.

"Protect her at all cost, Peter."

Only the fact that he led them down was tutoring him. He led down his mother and sister with his selfish attitude. He made a mistake and is paying for it now. He deserves that and he knows it but he wished every day that she would come back and that he would get a second chance to make everything right. He took out his keys and entered the house which was unusual to his daily habit as he was supposed to ring the bell first. Well, his mind was full and he was acting unconsciously. He walked in to realize that Jasmine wasn't there so he guessed that she was upstairs. He stepped a few steps towards the backyard and sighed in regret. He was feeling so guilty and felt in need of some fresh air to clear his lungs.

"Mom. If you're listening, please. Give me a clue. A sign. Anything that can lead me to her. Please. I am sorry. I know that I let you down but I finally realize my mistake and I regret it. Please, help me"

He was broken from the inside and was feeling a mountain above his heart. He then noticed a ladder hidden somewhere in the backyard and walked to it then started looking at it carefully.

"Since when do we have a ladder?"

As looking closer at it, he suddenly found something so important.

Peter: A drop of wax? OK let's make a web. Melody must have used that ladder to jump out of the window that day. It was the same day that she got a mail. We found the box in her room and it was from aunt Emma so if this wax has something to do with the mail that she got then, I have to ask aunt Emma about it. She will have the answers. This might lead me to something.

He quickly ran inside and upstairs to tell Jasmine what he thought was the best news. Little did he know that he was waiting for some unpleasant news himself. He stepped happily through the corridor of the second floor to hear her talking to the phone in their room. He wasn't sure why he did that but he hid somewhere nearby and decided to eavesdrop. You can call it a cop's instinct. Jasmine has been acting weird for the last few days. She would always wait for him until he comes back from work and welcomes him with a hug but she suddenly stopped and he had to get answers. Was it about the last fight they had? But he already apologized and she accepted his apology. This change in attitude seemed so suspicious for a cop especially that Jasmine and Melody never really loved each other that much. He heard her talk.

Jasmine: There's nothing new. Still no clue about her... I am trying my best but she is already dead. Why are you still after her?

???: Our reasons are none of your business. You only call when you find a clue.

Jasmine: You don't talk to me like that... Fine, bye.

And she hung up but as this conversation was going on, Peter's eyes widened.

"What the hell is going on here? Jasmine? working with people who are after Melody? I thought that she hated her but not that much. And why are there people after Melody? What did she do? I don't think that it's as simple as it seems like and aunt Emma surely has something to do with it. I have to get to the bottom of this."

He quickly wore a fake face and acted as if he didn't hear anything while entering the room. He greeted with a fake smile.

Peter: Good evening, babe.
