A sound of glasses shatters broke into the silence that wrapped the air. It interrupted his sleep. He opened his eyes slowly and tiredly, feeling the warmth of the blanket he was sleeping underneath on that armchair. It was cozy and was dragging him back to sleep but his back hurt so bad. He had to wake up for some reason. He closed his eyes avoiding light and opened them again looking around. He was still in Melody's house! Memories attacked his head like rockets and he was back to reality. He swifted his head to the couch where she wasn't laying asleep as he left her. Instead, her kwami filled that space. He again heard a voice of glass shattering to the floor. The sound came from upstairs. He got up and rushed there. It was just the second time he walks upstairs. And the place looked much more silent and creepy than last time when it was burning in fire flames. He walked along the walls of the corridor reaching the room where there was a voice. Obviously, a scream of pain hid behind the door. He rushed in there opening the door only to get frightened by the scene. Pieces of glass were spread all over the floor of the room. Drops of blood covered some of them and mixed with liquid perfume. The window was opened, letting in the storm from outside that pushed the curtains inside. And beneath all that sat Melody on the floor in her pajama shedding tears and her white skin turning red from crying. Her bare feet had pieces of glass attached to them and it felt so painful.

She sat in front of that board with pictures of her family members filling it and was holding a red thread in her hand. She rolled it over the pins here and there trying to make a web. One that failed and she reached nowhere. It's been 3 hours now. She has been crying and trying but nothing adds up anymore.

His eyes widened to what they saw. She was bleeding and crying. Since when did she start crying and why wasn't he there for her?

Luka: Melody!!

He screamed out her name, that's when she turned back to his voice and started shaking and glitching in black. Her eyes would swap between turquoise and forest green. He stepped inside with his sneakers that smashed the glass and reached her. He quickly hugged her despite what he just saw and tightened her between his arms. The warmth she felt there melted the tears frozen behind her eyes and she cried even more. After breaking that hug, he held her up bridal style then rested her on the bed and started asking in worrier.

Luka: Melody, what do you think you're doing? Your legs are bleeding and you didn't even notice!? Don't be scared. I am here now. It's going to be alright, trust me. Just tell me are you alright? What are you thinking right now. What do you think of all this.

In response, her tears got worse as he leaned down to her feet. She was squeezing them to make them bleed more. Thinking about her pain now was much easier than thinking about everything else. Her family. Her mom and dad. Only thinking of their names brought terrible memories. Ones that she begged to forget. She cried and kept crying with a few glitches in between and within all that, he couldn't hear an answer to his question. He quickly got up and walked to the door while screaming.

Luka: Wait right where you are. I am going to bring some bandages and water to clean these wounds.

He ran downstairs and returned in a minute with a clean white towel on his shoulder and held a bowl of water in his hands and a first aid kit hanged on his arm with ointments and creams in there. He leaned down to the floor and held her feet softly observing them carefully. They were totally in bad shape. He caught the forceps and started taking out the tiny pieces of glasses first. He then washed the feet in the bowl of water while there wasn't an attempt of resistance or movement from her. She just stared at him healing her wounds like that and kept crying. Just crying. He didn't say a word except going on with what he was doing. After washing her legs, he ran his hands on them feeling how soft and hot they were. She probably stepped on perfume with these wounds that hurt her even more. He started applying the cream on them softly making sure not to cause her any more pain. He wrapped them at last in bandages and looked up at her. She started glitching again and shaking. He didn't move a muscle away in fear, instead, he leaned closer to her and tried to hug her once more. Words weren't what she needed right now. She pushed him away and was the one who talked.
