Chapter 17: Secrets

In her darkroom, she was pouring her anger on the poor furniture of the room.

Lila: Ugh... THAT SPOILED INTRUDER!!! She can't do this. She has something on me and no one catches me from my broken arm like that. I have to get rid of her as well as that video or else everything that I have been working on for years will TURN INTO DUST. UGH!!!

She was angry to her fullest. She is afraid to go to school now or meet anyone because that video could be the end of her. Little did she know that if Melody wanted to publish it, she would have done that a while ago but she's a good person and well, liars always see people as bad as they are. Her blood was boiling at the highest temperatures and you know whose best chance was that. A dark Akuma then entered the room spreading its dark magic everywhere and went into her bracelets. And there was that butterfly-shaped aura on her face.

Howkmoth: Dark ghost. I am Howkmoth. You seem to have problems with that girl and so do I. Bring her to me and try to get me some jewelry on your way.

Lila: With pleasure, Howkmoth.

She said with no resistance as that evil smile appeared on her face and surrendered to the dark magic that wrapped her body.

Back to the girl's house and as it was still raining. They were both sitting on the couch watching a movie. Well, they were supposed to be watching the movie but some Melody just fell asleep on Luka's arm. The boy let go of his cheeks to burn as she finally wasn't awake to see them.

"How come I could fall for someone that hard? And I thought that no one can force me to blush. She doesn't even need to ask."

He looked down at her to see her silky caramel hair strands covering his chest and her eyes closed. Her soft, white skin and those rosy small lips of hers that he wanted to taste so bad. And her turquoise gems were a whole different story. They weren't normal. Everything about her was affecting him even the way she always smelled like strawberries. He felt curious about knowing every little detail about her. He wants to stay right next to her all the time and it wasn't a feeling he could control. He kept looking at her softly admiring her beauty and thinking, how better could his life get. He suddenly heard the sound of something and took a glimpse of a little creature that flew to the cookies bag. He looked carefully to get a better view of the hungry kwami that was sitting in there. He remembered at first when he came and she seemed not to know anything about the cookies she ordered. Now he finally realized that she wasn't the one who ordered the cookies. He giggled and looked at Melody gently.

About her, she was having a dream. At first, she found herself in a large garden and heard a singing voice she would easily recognize.

Melody: Mom? Mom!!! Mom, where are you? Please come. Help me.

She screamed as much as she missed her mother and she turned around to see her with those loving looks of hers. The mother opened her arms for her daughter to throw herself in them and cry.

Melody: Mom. You... You're here. I missed you so much. Please don't leave again. I can't do it without you.

Isabelle: It's okay, honey. I am always with you. I've never left you, Melody.

She hugged her mother even tighter and replied.

Melody: You'll say that and you'll leave me again. I won't let you go. It's all so much on me alone, mother.

All that happened in reality but she was in Luka's arms instead. She was hugging him so tight and it sent shivers through his spine. He figured out that she was having a dream but the action itself made his heart beats go crazy and cause his cheeks to blush so hard.
