In one of the alleys in a cargo area between the huge stacked containers, the young cop was thrown to the floor with his nose bleeding. He looked up in disgust at the old man standing above him. He was a handsome man with blonde hair and olive green eyes. He wore a long coat that gave focus to his slim tall figure. The conversation was deadly between them as one of them talked again.

Peter: Where do you think you'll end up with all this?

He was roaring at him madly, furiously with fiery red seas running through his veins. The old man replied in his usual cold tone that hid the torture perfectly behind.

Matthew: Let me think... Well, that's obviously none of your business. But let me give you hint. What if Isabelle and I never broke up. Imagine how perfect that sounds.

Peter: Don't you dare say her name on your filthy mouth!!

Matthew: I excuse you. You think you know everything and you've already convinced yourself that I am the bad guy, right?

Peter stared at him not getting what he was referring to and the question suddenly hit his head.

"How did I end up here?"

He was staying up late on the balcony of the hotel room where he checked in for two nights. Lucy was asleep in the room next to him, obviously because it's midnight.

It's been a very long time since he was able to admire the beauty of Paris at night. The street lights, the restaurants, and the lovers walking all around the city, holding hands. It was a scene that gave him a feeling of warmth inside his chest but even though it was breathtaking, there were a few impurities. Not the scene but his mind that couldn't enjoy it.

Only the thought that he's in the lion's den made him feel scared. His father could be anywhere. Ben hasn't sent him the information yet and he was feeling guilty for involving Lucy in this mess. It's not like he's the one who asked her to come but if anything happened to her, he would never forgive himself.

And as the sky gets darker, his mind would gradually travel back to Jasmine's deep brown eyes and he would wonder. What is she doing now? How is she dealing with their breakup? He is definitely not doing fine. He wants to see her more than anything. He wants to hug her, stare at her beautiful eyes and feel her silky hair between his fingers. It wasn't just his heart that missed her but every one of his senses. And the memories are like roller-coasters running inside his head.

He couldn't sleep although he wanted to. All these together made it impossible to close an eye. No one understands because no one is at his spot. His sister is missing, his mom is dead, his father is the enemy, his love is not there anymore and he is almost losing his job. Everything is gone... Everyone is gone... But then... A person with nothing to lose is the best man for the job.

After a while of laying on the balcony and talking to the stars, he finally decided to go downstairs and grab a cup of alcohol. Maybe he could get drunk and sleep at last. He walked downstairs and through the hall until he reached the bar and just before he could say a word, his phone finally rang. He quickly took it out of his pocket to see that name written in there. Ben!! He quickly answered.

Peter: Ben!! Finally. I was starting to get worried about you. What happened?

Ben's voice was serious for the first time in forever as he answered.
