Chapter 24: Looking For Joy

A few moments later, Ladybug broke in from the window and greeted them with a smile. Signs of tears were in her eyes.

Ladybug: Good evening there... Lovebirds.

They were both sitting in a position where Melody was resting her head on Luka's chest and they were enjoying that moment of peace. Ladybug came and with her words, they separated with their cheeks burning out of embarrassment. Melody asked as seeing the girl.

Melody: Ladybug?

Ladybug looked at them and felt so bad. Was she really going to ruin this for them? It was obvious they both were in love with each other and her heart couldn't bring her to do it. And after hearing Luka's story from behind that door and figuring out who that girl is and the way she was unconsciously hurting him all that past time, it was set up. She felt so guilty and just had to make things right for everyone. Melody can't leave. Not yet at least. She talked again.

Ladybug: I thought about it, Melody, and I don't think that you leaving would be the best option. What I want to say is that you can stay.

Melody & Luka: Really!!

Their eyes sparkled in hope as Ladybug continued.

Ladybug: Yes, but we have to put some rules. First, whatever happens, you must stay at least 6 feets away from Adrien. That's a must. Second, no one can know about it, Melody. If Howkmoth had a hint about the reason of what happened in the event, he would totally use that against us and if that happened, we can never know what nasty plan he would come out with. Howkmoth is getting stronger each day and we have to be careful. Do you promise me to follow these rules, Melody?

Melody: Yes!! Of course, Ladybug.

Melody said with both her and Luka's eyes shining happily. This was so good to be true. And just when they decided to fight together, there was no fight at all. Everything was just right. Ladybug then talked again directing her speech to Luka this time.

Ladybug: Luka, whatever you have figured out until now and whatever you know must remain a secret. At least until we catch howkmoth. We have to unmask him as soon as possible so if anyone found anything weird going on or had a clue about anything, inform me or Chat noir right away.

She paused before directing her speech to both of them in hope.

Ladybug: And... Live your lives to the fullest.

She gave them one last smile and jumped again out of the window then disappeared in the darkness of night. As she used her yoyo to get faraway, she noticed all their friends standing down there in front of the hospital getting ready to go in. She de-transformed somewhere nearby and joined them.

They all walked up to where Marinette led them and they entered to find Luka already there. Everyone walked to Melody happy of her still being alive. Rose hugged her Spontaneously while the others greeted her thankfully and happily. Lila was there too and she was acting awfully friendly. It sounded so weird for Melody as just a few hours ago, she was going to end her life throwing a huge rock over her head but she just let it pass. Maybe Lila is finally turning good. Still, she should be careful of her just in case.

But someone else was getting suspicious and worried about something. Juleka was there, sitting somewhere watching them. She was specifically observing her elder brother. How he was looking at Melody. The way the introvert Luka was interacting with her and everyone else. And the story she was telling about how Luka saved her when she fell into the river. His clothes were still wet and it seems that he had already caught a cold. She didn't know why but she was glaring at Melody angrily. Why was she angry?
