"Pens!"
" Hey Davies." Penny smiled meekly, still gazing at the boy opposite him.
" Wait you know each other?" Mick questioned, looking between his bandmates and the brunette.
" Wait- Of course..." Ray blurted, putting the pieces of the puzzle together,
" I don't believe we've met." Penny directed at John, who was looking at the situation puzzled.
" No, I don't think we have! John, John Dalton." He smiled,
" Penelope-" She began,
" Lo..." Dave whispered, staring at the girl in front of him.
" Hello David." The brown-eyed girl bade with a soft smile,
" Wait- You all know each other- Except from John of course." Mick interrupted, confused.
" It's a long story..." Ray laughed,
" We've got time." Mick nodded, still confused; Sitting down next to Ray.
Penny looked towards Dave, the only place that wasn't vacant was next to him; she sighed before sitting next to her ex-lover.
" So where do we begin?"
.
.
.
" So you guys are childhood best friends?" Mick and John spoke.
" Yep." Penny chuckled, looking at their shocked faces,
" How did you know?" Dave questioned, directing it at his brother.
" Know what?" Ray asked,
" That it was Lo." He furthered.
" I went over a few days ago, didn't I tell you?" The eldest inquired rhetorically, knowing he hadn't told him.
" No..." Dave drawled as he shook his head, " I'm going for a smoke."
" Da-"Penny began, the boy walking over to the beer gardens door.
" I'm just going to use the the ladies." Penny stated, worrying about Dave, he'd been gone for a while.

The evening air hit the figures face as he leaned against the wall, the truth was he'd needed to get away; he wasn't just being dramatic. If he hadn't he would of made a fool of himself, he would of- He could of- What did it matter now?
" Dave?" A soft voice questioned,
Every time she even uttered his name his heart began to race, he was seventeen again; he was taking in the feel of his best friend.
"Dave?" The voice repeated, making her way over to him.

Penny felt like she was sixteen again, even his name drove her mad. The boy was leaned against the pubs wall, the amount of times they'd been out here, looking at the view; innocent and young. A large amount had changed since their last last meeting here, they were now in their 20s, they were experienced in this game of love and they were ever so different.
" Lo..." He whispered, turning towards her,
" Hi," She began, " What you doing out here?"
" Having a smoke." He stated, a small smile coming to his face.
