I woke up the next morning with the a smile on my face for the first time in forever. I made a new friend last night and couldn't wait to show him around.
I pulled my blonde hair into a messy bun and opened my closet. I put on a red crop top and some ripped skinny jeans. I put a black jacket over my shoulders and put my white vans on. I headed out to my room and into my bathroom to brush my teeth. I got that done and then took my hair out of a messy bun and brushed it. I then put it back into a messy bun and headed out to the kitchen
I saw my dad sitting on the couch. "Hey did you see the new kid that moved into the apartment next door?" I asked him
"Yea I met him like a few days ago. Saved him from some high school assholes and ended up in jail.", he replied. I shook my head not surprised. It seemed those assholes deserved it though.
"Alright well that explains why I heard the door close so early in the morning." I mumbled. I grabbed some cereal and some milk and put it into a bowl. I sat down on the couch with my dad and ate my cereal quickly realizing I didn't have much time before I needed to head to school.
"Wait Addy I forgot to tell you, I opened up Cobra Kai again and Miguel is gonna be my first student. Did you want to join him? I know you already know a lot since I taught you since you were young but can't help to practice right?", he asked. I sat there and thought about it. I did already know most karate since I did start at a young age. It could also be good to get extra practice. I don't like to belong to one group though. "I'm sorry dad but I don't know. I will have to think about it honestly. I gotta go though. I'm meeting Miguel and we're going to go school together." I told him. "Alright kiddo but let me know. Have a good day at school", he replied. I gave him a smile and grabbed my bag and headed out the door.
I saw Miguel sitting there waiting for me. "Hey Miguel! You ready to head to school?" I asked with a smile. He smiled back. "As ready as I'll ever be." He said nervously. I could see the nerves. His hands were shaking a little bit and the lack of eye contact said it all. "Come on we gotta go or we are gonna be late." I said. I grabbed his wrist and dragged him along behind me.
It took us a good bit but we finally got there. We walked in and students were bustling around trying to find their classes and friends and lockers. I grabbed Miguel's schedule and noticed we had one class which was English. We were gonna be in different sciences this year since I chose to take chem and I know this is the first day but I was studying a bit of our new courses over the summer to get a jump start but it turned out to be harder than expected.
"Alright well since we both have first period English together I'll walk with you." He said with a smile. I just giggled. I wonder where Eli and Demetri were. Along with Bri. I missed Eli and Demetri. I hadn't seen them that much over the summer. Especially Eli. I'm not sure why but he always seemed busy.
We got to our class and sat down next to each other. I then saw Eli walk in and got really excited. "Hey Eli!"I said with a huge smile and waved. He looked up and smiled back. He's not much of a talker. He did sit in the seat behind us though. "Hey Adds", he replied quietly. I blushed at the nickname but quickly tried to get over it. I can't ruin this friendship. I can't lose him. The teacher then walked in and started to explain how the class would go for the year. ~
