"FUCK YOU DEMETRI!" I heard Brianna yell as I walked into the dojo. She stormed past me and accidentally rammed her shoulder into mine, causing me to fall backwards. Before I completely fell on my behind, I felt a pair of hands grab my waist and lift me back up.
I turned to look at my savior and saw my favorite person with a red mohawk.
"Thank you, E. Do you know what that was about?" I asked him, pointing my thumb behind me referring to Brianna yelling at Demetri.
"No clue." He said, shaking his head and wrapping his arm around my shoulder. I smiled at the gesture and laced my fingers with his, giving his hand a gentle squeezed. He squeezed back and I felt the muscles in his forearm tighten on my shoulder.
My thoughts from the other day came back into my head and I was about to ask Eli when we walked into the sight of Demetri throwing things around and yelling in frustration. I've never seen him so worked up before. I looked up at Eli and he looked down at me with the same expression I had. He let go of my hand and went to talk to Demetri while I walked over to Sam, setting my stuff down beside her.
"What the hell is wrong with him?" I asked her quietly.
"Him and Brianna came walking in fighting about her hanging out with some guy from Cobra kai and a few words let to another and he called her a "backstabbing slut" and that's when she screamed at him and stormed out." Sam said. My eyes widened at the whole event. What the hell was Demetri thinking saying something like that. He never ever says stuff like that no matter how angry he is. And more importantly, what the hell is Brianna thinking hanging out with some guy from Cobra Kai? It didn't make any sense.
I shook my head and put my Gi on. "I'll have to ask Eli what Dem said to him after todays lesson." I said and walked over to where everyone else was.
"You can take your Gi's off everyone." My dad told us. We looked around at each other with the same expression, curiosity. We've been training hard everyday for the past couple of weeks so this was very unexpected.
"Today will be a rest day. We've both realized how hard we've been working and it seems to be a little too much for your bodies to handle." Mr. Larusso said and threw a long glance my way. It didn't go unnoticed by a certain someone.
"Why we're you looking at Addy, sensei?" Eli asked. I drew my lips into a tight line, giving Mr. Larusso a look that screamed "don't tell him". But I saw the guilty look on his face and knew he couldn't keep this quiet.
"Addy's legs gave out on her yesterday. She lost feeling in them for a split second." Mr. Larusso said.
"WHAT?!" my dad screamed. I squeezed my eyes shut at his tone. "Why didn't you tell me, Addy?" he asked me sternly.
"I didn't want anyone to worry, okay? Its not a big deal, they're just tired from all the work we've been doing." I said while tipping side to side on my feet. My dad sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"The next time this happens, you immediately come to me, understand?" my dad asked me. I nodded my head agreeing.
I felt bad for not telling him but I didn't want him to worry or overreact about it. It was a one time thing. And I'm sure this day of rest will help with that.
"Why did you have us all meet here if we're going to have a rest day?" Demetri asked.
"Well, I was thinking since me and my wife are going out of town for a couple of days, you could have a couple of friends over. Maybe like 1 friend per person." Mr. Larusso said. I snorted. One friend per person?
