Chapter Twenty-Nine: Accidental Confessions

"There's no way I just watched Carmen walk out of your room, out of this apartment, and back into hers." I said to my dad as he walked out of his room with his robe on. He stopped in his tracks.

"You saw her, huh?" He asked me. I lightly chuckled at his embarrassment.

"Don't worry...I won't tell Miguel." I said with a cheeky smile. He rolled his eyes at me.

"I think she'll be good for you. You need another lady figure in your life." I said and took a bite of my cereal.

"Oh yeah? You think so?" He asked me. I nodded my head and set my spoon down.

"It's been a while since I've seen you wake up with a smile, Dad. And I see the way you look at her. It's totally obvious you really like her." I said. He nodded his head and turned towards me.

"You think she likes me back? Like no bullshit?" He asked me. I sighed and put my face in my hand.

"Yes, Dad. She literally... let's just say... slept over our house. With you. In the same bed. I'm 110 percent sure she likes you back." I teased and got up, putting my bowl in the sink.

"Yeah.... yeah you're right." He mumbled and started to eat his cereal but I heard his spoon fall and I whipped around.

"She's in town. ADDY SHES IN TOWN!" My dad yelled. I jumped at his sudden change in tone and my eyes widened.

"Whose in town, Dad?" I asked him calmly.

"Ali." He whispered.

"That's great, Dad! Maybe you'll see her." I said with a smile and patted him on the shoulder.

"She wants to get lunch with me." He said breathlessly.

"Then go get lunch with her, Dad. It'll be great to catch up with her, don't you think?" I asked him and walked away. He had a lot of thinking to do and I didn't want to get in the way of that.

I think I'll head to Cobra Kai today. Try and see what's going on. See what our enemy consists of.

I pulled into the parking lot of Cobra Kai and got out. I slowly made my way to the windows and peeked through. What I saw made my breath hitch. Ain't no god damn way he joined them.

I stomped angrily over to the door and yanked it open. All the students turned and looked at me but I was focused on one person and one person only. I walked up to him and my hand immediately shot up and I slapped him across the face.

His head whipped to the side and he held his now red cheek. He looked back at me with wide eyes and I heard gasps escape lips from behind me.

"How DARE you join them! After everything!" I seethed and clenched my fists to keep myself from attacking him again.

"He was there for me when no one else was. Not even you, Addy." Robby said, still holding his cheek.

"I had a lot to deal with. I was kicked off the railing too, ya know. By one of the students you're joining. She also left me this huge scar on my cheek incase you couldn't see it." I retorted and pointed towards my left cheek. His eyes widened as he finally noticed the scar.

"I-I didn't know she did that, Addy." He whispered and hung his head. I shook my head.

"Of course you didn't. Why would you?" I mumbled and crossed my arms.

"That isn't the point right now. I can't believe you joined Cobra Kai. After everything that's happened." I said to him.

"Ms. Lawrence. What a nice surprise to see you here." I heard Kreese say. I turned towards the person I hated the most.

"Yeah. And what a nice little surprise I got seeing my brother here. With you." I said to him. Kreese chuckled and walked closer to me.

"He made the right decision. He'll be unstoppable with knowledge of two types of karate. One for defense and the other offense. He'll be a nice asset to this team." Kreese said with a smirk. I scowled at him.

"There's no way I'm letting him stay. I know I can't make him go but I will somehow. Some day. He'll realize how horrible of a person you truly are. They all will." I said and looked around the dojo. I saw a familiar face next to another. My heart stopped. Blue eyes met with mine and I saw regret and guilt fill them. Kyler was standing right next to Eli. Eli's old bully was now his best buddy. My jaw clenched as I prevented tears from pouring out of my eyes. He didn't know it, but he was friends with my...⚠️ assaulter.

"I'm done here. Enjoy being brainwashed, Robby. Don't come running back to me when you realize just how big of a mistake you're making." I said and walked out. I heard footsteps behind me and I felt a hand grab my elbow as I opened my car door. I was spun around to face the person who I hadn't talked to in weeks.

"Listen, Addy. It's not what it looked like. He was just standing next to me." Eli said. I ripped my arm away from him.

"I saw that little handshake y'all did. Don't you dare lie to me!" I hissed at him.

"I'm not lying to you!" He said.

"BULLSHIT! YOU'RE FRIENDS WITH THE PERSON WHO RAPED ME!" ⚠️I yelled, the words slipping out of my mouth before I could stop them. His eyes widened and he took a step back from me. I gulped.

"He did what?" He whispered. Oh no. This wasn't going to be good.

"You heard the words, Eli." I said and looked down. He grabbed my arms and pulled me into him. I immediately wrapped my arms around his waist and sobs escaped my lips. It felt so good to tell him. He rubbed my back in small circles.

"I'll kill him. I'll fucking kill him." He said. I couldn't say anything at the moment so I stayed where I was. He eventually pulled away and wiped my tears. In that moment, I had forgotten every bad thing he had done and my sweet Eli was back.

"Why didn't you tell me this? When did this happen?" Eli asked me. I sniffed and wiped my nose.

"Almost two years ago. I didn't tell you because I was afraid you wouldn't believe me. That no one would. It was a scary time in my life that I was too afraid to talk about." I said. He nodded his head in understatement.

"Don't worry, Adds. I'll make sure he pays for what he did to you." He whispered, almost too afraid to say it out loud and accept it. I nodded my head.

"I should go. Goodbye, Eli." I said and got into my car. He backed away a little so I could back out without hitting him. I took one last look at him before I sped out of the parking lot, thoughts racing through my mind.

I got a call from Miguel telling me to meet him at Sam's house. I pulled in next to the other cars that were here. What the hell?

I got out of my car and headed towards the door where Miguel was.

"What's going on, Miggy?" I asked him.

"Me and Sam need your help to get Eagle Fang and Miyagi-Do to work together." Miguel said. I nodded my head.

"Of course. What's the plan?" I asked him.

"I'm not sure but all I know is that it isn't going well so far. But i think we can pull it off." He said.

"Alright. If you say so." I said and opened the door and people were yelling at each other. I could barley understand what anyone was saying.

"QUIET!" I yelled.
