Two weeks had passed since she saw her grandfather, she knew something bad would happen so she took extra precautions. Miraleigh had caught a bus to her soon to be new dojo and opened the gate to see Daniel and Robby walking to one of the cars.

"Sorry that I'm late." She apologised and walked over to the them.

"It's all good Miraleigh." Daniel shook it off, not bothered by it. Miraleigh sighed in relief, stood next to Robby. He smiled at her, she smiled back and tried not to blush as she saw his muscles. She quickly glanced away and looked at the car Daniel just revealed.

"Whoa, Mr. Miyagi gave you this?" Robby asked flabbergasted.

"Yep, best birthday gift ever. I haven't had much of a chance to get down lately, take care of her like she deserves" Miraleigh smiled shaking her head, she looked at Robby and grinned.

"Something tells me, that there's a can of wax in our future." Miraleigh did most of the chores with her left hand and as they went on in the day back to her right hand as it had healed over the weeks before. It made things a lot easier, she loved going back to using her right hand and being able to do thinks without struggle.

She smiled as she learnt how to do all the new techniques, while she did chores and all that. She loved fixing the cars up, seeing them sparkle again. Even if she didn't know what they looked like before.

"They're beautiful." She gaped, seeing Robby and her handy work.

"They really are." Robby smiled gently at her, a grin on his lips. She carried a plant to Robby who was waiting for her to hand it over. He thanked her, then climbed further into the water. He made sure Miraleigh didn't have to climb into the water, besides putting her feet in. Stood back, a soft smile on her lips. Her eyes gazed over the boys placing the plants on the platform, trying to keep it balanced and without it tipping over.

A couple of hours had passed, they finished and they were exhausted but were happy over their work and couldn't wait to start training here.

"We did it." She proudly said, as they admired their work.

"Indeed we did." Daniel grinned at the two, letting them go home. Miraleigh was back at work, doing her job and delivering pizzas. Miraleigh knocked on a door, waiting for whoever it was to answer. Her eyes widened seeing Miguel in front of her, his mouth gaped a little and he looked at her with apologetic eyes.

"Miraleigh, I'm so sorry about what happened that night. I shouldn't of slapped you." She handed him the pizza, then took the money he gave as a tip. She subconsciously touched the cheek he had slapped and looked away from him for a brief moment.

"You shouldn't of done that, you're right and if you really did love Sam you would've chased after her." He sighed, knowing he screwed things up and that she was right.

""What can I do?"

"For me or for her?"

"Both."

"Well Miguel, that's for you to figure out." She waved goodbye, going back to delivering the rest of the pizzas. She got back home, made some dinner and FaceTimed with Robby. His smiles gorgeous in her eyes, it always lights up her world whenever he smiles to her and she feels all giddy and warm inside. The way his eyes crinkle, his barley recognisable dimples and just the way he smiled in general. She could watching him smile all the time if she could.

Miraleigh knew she was falling for him, but her insecurities made her doubt that he could never possibly like her back. She knew she wasn't gorgeous, her life was also fucked up and she doubted that Robby would want more of that in a relationship. Her imperfections never made her feel good, she always told herself that they were the reason why she would never get a relationship.

They had hung up after a while, both disappointed when they did. He always made her feel better and Miraleigh was the light in his darkness. She laid in her bed, staring at the holes in the ceiling. She was glad she's never had a leak in the ceiling, also glad that no bugs had come through. Miraleigh eventually fell into a dream filled sleep, it was good but then it was also bad. She woke up gasping for air, she looked around the room making sure everything was normal and good.

Her legs dangled off her bed, she rubbed her face with her palms. She took a shaky breath, stood up and walked to the shower. She stripped off her clothes, stepped into the water and let the water run down her back. She ended up sitting under the water. Letting her hair fall in front of her face, she had her knees close to her chest and her arms wrapped around them. Some tears rolled down her cheeks, she wasn't feeling great and in the end she ended up bursting into tears.

She managed to get herself out of the shower and into some new cloths. Miraleigh laid back in her bed, falling asleep easily this time as her eyes were heavy from crying. The next morning she took a little bit to do everything, her thoughts were clouded and she couldn't think straight. She placed her phone in her pocket, making her way to the dojo.

"Miraleigh, are you okay?" She jumped hearing Robby's voice and nodded.

"Yeah, I had a bit of a rough night." She whispered, he nodded and opened the gate. They walked into the small house, watching Daniel place taking a shelf off. Robby grabbed something from the box, Miraleigh tilted her head as he watched him twirl it in his fingers so the little balls hit the drum.

"Careful, that drum saved my life." Daniel said looking at him, Robby quickly but gently placed it back in the box apologising.

"It's okay, it's just a toy. But then again, in Miyagi do, not everything is as it seems." Robby smirked and nodded then watched as Miraleigh walked over to a medal in a picture frame.

"That's the medal of honour, the highest award given by the U.S military." Daniel explained.

"Mr. Miyagi was a war hero?" Miraleigh curiously asked, Daniel nodded with a smile.

"Guess it wasn't all bonsai and kata." Robby stated then looked at something else.

"What are all of these?" He asked pointing to the banners, Miraleigh looked at them admiring the detail in the design.

"I'm glad you asked. First rule of Miyagi do karate; karate is for defence only. Second rule of Miyagi do karate; it's really all about that first rule." Miraleigh excused herself, walking out and looked at the pond. She watched the water ripple, from a gust of wind and smiled gently.

"Miraleigh, we're going to the hardware store. You gonna come?" She looked at Robby, nodding slightly and he just knew something was up.

"What's wrong?" He asked, she shook her head and sighed.

"You aren't getting sick of me, are you? Because all you seem to be doing, is dealing with me and my crap." Robby had no idea on where this was coming from, he shook his head and held the girl close to him. He listened to her sob, grip onto his shirt and felt her tears soak through his shirt and onto his chest.

"And now you're having to do it again" She pulled away from him and walked out of the dojo. She could hear Robby chasing after her, she quickly grabbed her bag and stumbled back in shock as she saw Robby trying to stop her from getting out.

"Listen to me." He grabbed her softly by her shoulders, looking into her eyes and swiped away her tears.

"Whatever is running through your mind, do not dwell on it. You are literally the only one I can trust, I don't want you to ever think that I don't care about what's going on in your life. Because I do and I know that I always will." She looked at him through her teary eyes and shook her head.

"You're too good for me Robby." he chuckled and hugged her, resting his chin on the top of her head. He looked at in the eye and gave her and reassuring smile.

"You still want to come?" He asked, she nodded and stepped away. Regretting it instantly, because she liked being in his warm embrace, it made her feel safe and comfortable. He smiled at her, wrapping his arm around her waist and smiled as they walked to the car. As shitty as his life was, he felt like she had it worse.

He had his mum, even if she wasn't around much. But Miraleigh had no parents, her mother wasn't there and her dad is a horrible person.
