Miraleigh smiled as she felt Robby's arm around her waist, they were lying in bed together, spooning as they slept. Miraleigh had woken up earlier than normal, which honestly bugged her, she's not a morning person and loved sleeping as late as she prefered. Carefully and cautiously, she turned to face Robby who was still asleep. She gently placed a kiss on his forehead before watching him sleep for a few moments. Miraleigh slowly slipped out of bed, walked out of their bedroom and to the kitchen. The girl started making breakfast for the two, she made pancakes and once they were done she set the table. They had gotten a dog door installed so Willow could go to the balcony to do whatever she wanted to do. The border collie had gotten a little bigger but was still relatively puppy-sized.
Willow followed Miraleigh as she walked into the bedroom, Robby was still fast asleep and it had taken Miraleigh almost an hour to do what she wanted to do. She leaned on her side of the bed, Robby had sprawled himself out across the bed in her absence, she smiled and ran a hand through his hair. He stirred slightly, then slowly opened his eyes, a smile forming on his lips as he noticed the girl.
"Morning, sweetheart." He whispered, slowly stretching and then propped himself up.
"Morning, honey," She whispered back, smiling as he brought her closer to him so he could kiss Miraleigh's lips. He caressed her cheek, causing her to become flustered as he continued to do it. He loved watching her become flustered when he caressed her cheek, it was Robby's non-verbal way of reassuring Miraleigh that she was beautiful despite her the acne she had on her cheeks which had calmed down a bunch.
"Is everything okay?" He asked, concern lacing through his voice. Miraleigh nodded, giving him a reassuring smile.
"Yeah, I was just waking you up so you could have breakfast," She informed, he smiled then hugged her. Laughs escaped her lips as he began tickling her, he picked the girl up, carried her to the kitchen and then gasped as he saw the table.
"You did all of this?" Miraleigh nodded, taking his hand once he placed her down and got him seated, then sat across from him.
"Thank you, Miraleigh." He smiled, she nodded and took a bite of the pancake she made. Robby admired her, grinning as she looked happy and relaxed. He could tell she's been happier lately, he could see it in her smile and her eyes.
"Of course, no problem." After they were done eating, Robby cleaned the table and the items that were on it. Robby walked over to Miraleigh, picked her up and smiled as she squealed and giggled.
"I love you, you know that right?" He questioned, placing a kiss on her lips, spinning her around and then placed her down.
"I know you do, I love you too." She smiled, placing a kiss on his lips and smiled as he ran his hands up and down her arms. Miraleigh gently traced Robby's scar in the middle of his forehead, he looked at her with a gentle sorrow and smiled as she planted a kiss on the mark.
"Does the bruise look bad?" She questioned, reaching to touch the mark on her head but stopped as Robby grabbed her hand, preventing her from touching the bruise. Kaylee got her pretty good with the metal pole, it was pretty bad the first day but it had calmed down a little bit since then.
"A little bit, but we can part your hair so it's not noticeable." He explained, then grabbed his phone out to check the time.
"Let's get ready, we'll start heading off after that." She nodded and grabbed out a dress, changed into it and then placed on her shoes. Robby helped part her hair, so her hair covered part of her forehead to hide the bruise. Once Robby was ready, they got Willow on a leash, then walked out of the apartment to go to a local cafe.
"Will you be okay?" She questioned, looking up at Robby. He shrugged, taking a shaky breath and then thought about how to word his answer.
"Yeah, I'm just hoping that it will have a good result and it will be better for the rest of us." Miraleigh nodded, then squeezed his hand and they took a seat in the outdoor seating. Robby placed a portable water bowl down, filled it with water and gave Willow a scratch behind the ear.
They talked for a few minutes before Robby stood up a little too quickly, causing him to stumble slightly. They were meeting Shannon, who was doing a lot better, Robby had been worrying the last couple of days.
"Hey, Mom." Robby smiled nervously.
"Hey, Robby." Shannon took a seat, then Robby sat down and held Miraleigh's hand under the table.
"It's nice to see you again, Miraleigh." Shannon gave a smile and then looked between the two teens. Miraleigh could see the conflict in Robby's eyes, gave his hand a squeeze, then smiled and nodded slightly.
"How have you been doing, mum?" Robby questioned, feeling more comfortable with Miraleigh at his side.
"I've been a lot better, rehab has helped me. I'm getting myself back together in a healthy place and I haven't been leaving town with guys I meet. I have a job, it's decent pay and it's got decent hours. I'm sorry Robby that I wasn't a good mother, I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you, I hope that we can talk and you can see that I'm becoming a better person. I hope you're doing well, that you're safe and haven't been ending up like me." Shannon explained, Robby let go of Miraleigh's hand and rubbed his sweaty hand on his pant leg. He was glad to hear his mum was doing okay, that she was healthy and benefiting from rehab. He did want to have his mum back in his life but he's too scared of being hurt.
"That's great mum, I'm glad to hear that you're doing better. I've got a place of my own, I'm living with Miraleigh, my girlfriend and I'm doing alright. I would like to talk with you, only if you keep up with your sobriety, I can't have any more unstableness in my life. I've got a good thing going with Miraleigh and I love her with all my heart. I know that if I let too many people who are broken or trying to heal into my life, It will affect me and I will end up doing something stupid and inevitably hurt her. I can't let that happen."
Miraleigh looked at Robby, he gave the girl a smile before he looked back at his mother, hoping that he didn't offend her in any way. Shannon nodded, smiling at the two. She was glad to hear Robby was okay and safe, she could tell Miraleigh was good for Robby and that the two were doing well together and needed the other one to be happy and supported. After talking with Shannon for a little while longer, the two teens went back home. Robby smiled as Miraleigh sat on the couch, she kicked her shoes off and then curled her legs up. Robby sat next to her, brought her into his arms and kissed the top of her head.
"You doing alright?" She questioned, smiling as he nodded and then brought her closer to his chest.
"Are you going back to school?" He asked, wondering if she would be or if she still wanted to stay home. Miraleigh didn't do or say anything for a good little while, Robby waited patiently knowing it would be a difficult thing for her.
"I think so, I don't want to because I like staying here with you and I like spending this time with you but I think so." She informed, letting a sigh escape her lips at the words that escaped her lips.
"I'll be there every step of the way." He whispered, kissing her cheek, then switched the tv so they could watch a movie.
"I know you will be." She whispered back, smiling comfortably as Robby rested his head on her head.
