Swearing
Robby walked into the apartment, smiling at Miraleigh, she returned a smile hiding how she actually felt. He kissed her cheek, then looked at the meal she made, he took his jacket off and rested it on the couch. He kicked his shoes off, placed them where they belong and then sat at the table with the girl.
"Thanks for dinner." He grinned, the girl returned a smile and took a sip of her water, watching him carefully.
"You're welcome." She stated, tucking loose strands of hair behind her ear before she started eating.
"So, how was work?" He questioned, taking a bite of the meal she made.
"It was good, I did some overtime, that was just some paperwork. What did you do after training?" Miraleigh hoped that Robby would tell her and not lie about what he did, she wanted to give him a chance before she jumped to conclusions.
"I just went to the park with the others, sorry sweetheart, are you okay? It was planned last minute." He lied, Miraleigh nodded giving him a reassuring smile, trying to keep it together as she felt her heartbreak.
"Yeah, it's all good, did you do anything else?" He shook his head, watching as she nodded and continued eating. The rest of dinner was filled with awkward chit-chat, Miraleigh kept waiting to hear Robby tell the truth and explain why he did what he did, but it never came. Robby helped her clean up, he looked down at her in confusion as she sighed placing a washed plate in the drying rack and then stopped cleaning.
"Why did you do it?" She spoke, barely above a whisper, the girl refused to look at him as she gathered herself calmly not wanting to escalate the situation.
"Do what?" He questioned, watching as she sat on the counter, giving him a disappointed look.
"You know what I'm talking about, why did you do it?" Robby refused to give in, he wasn't telling her, he didn't want to tell her and hoped this was about something else, but knew it wasn't.
"Don't play dumb, what was going on in your head when you decided to attack him?" She tried to keep her voice calm and relaxed, Miraleigh couldn't handle a fight, not one this big and not with him.
"Miraleigh, I just gave him a warning, how did you find out?" She scoffed, shook her head and gave him a disappointed look.
"Miguel called me, during that dinner I was waiting for you to speak about it, I was giving you a chance to tell me what you did. Robby, that's considered assault! Why, would you do it? Risk probation? I know you don't want to go back there, I can't see you go back there. Was it worth the risk?"
"Miraleigh he attacked you! He's attacking Kenny!"
"Robby, you know that what he did was the least of my problems! He gave me a bruise and slapped me, big deal. It's not like he stabbed me, pushed me through a glass window, or anything that my dad did! What you did to Hawk was uncalled for." Robby looked at her, feeling his anger bubbling, he wanted her to see his side of the story.
"Miraleigh, just hear me out, he's attacking people. I just gave him a warning so he knows to back off, I thought you of all people would be on my side with this!" Miraleigh stared at him like he was an idiot, she jumped off the counter and walked over to him. He looked down at her, despite the height difference he felt intimidated and took a step back.
"You and I both know that's bullshit. You didn't tell me about this, because you knew I would've tried to stop you... I'm so stupid! So, this is what all the whispering was, I feel like such an idiot!" Miraleigh rested her head in her hands, feeling embarrassed that she didn't pay attention and then looked at Robby with a glare in her eyes.
