As the two slept, Miraleigh's head was filled with nightmares. A small gasp escaped her lips as her eyelids flew open. She took some deep breaths, annoyed that she woke up from a nightmare yet again. Though, she did notice the nightmare wasn't as bad as it usually was. Miraleigh smiled softly as she felt Robby's arm still wrapped around her. She carefully crawled out of his hold and made her way to the bathroom. Running the tap and splashed cold water on her face.
A sigh escaped her lips as she stared at herself in the mirror, it was the same old thing. Fighting with Kaylee in the school, being stabbed and the endless amount of pain. She took the hoodie off, placing it on the counter and then lifted up her singlet as she stared at the wound. She gently traced over it, trying to remind herself that she was okay.
She turned the shower tap on, letting the water become a suitable warmth and sat under it. Letting the warm water hit her skin, soothing her and helped her focus. On the feeling of the water hitting her, she wasn't thinking really. It just gave her a distraction, the warm water cascade down her back, water sliding down her face and dripping off the tip of her nose.
"Miraleigh?" Robby's hoarse voice filled her ears, she didn't move but looked at him without moving her head. He blinked a few times before waking up a bit more and rushed to Miraleigh. He stared at her briefly, seeing the daze she had in her eyes. He crouched down in front of her, not caring if he were to get wet.
"Sweetheart, speak to me." He gently whispered, tucking her hair behind her ears. He caressed her cheek with the back of his index finger and watched her connect back to the world. He could see her eyes water up, the tears running down her cheeks and onto her knees. He could see the difference between the water from the shower and the tears that ran from her eyes.
"I-I-I had a n-n-nightmare." She stammered, but she sounded confused. He turned the water off, picking here up gently and sat her down on the counter. He grabbed a towel, wrapping it gently over her shoulder and began drying her off as best he could. He grabbed a new set of pyjamas, placing it down at her side and looked into her eyes.
"Miraleigh, I got some clothes for you. Tell me when you are ready." He whispered softly to her, kissing her forehead and grabbed another towel as he walked off. He quickly changed his shirt, drying his slightly damp hair and then his pants as the ankles were slightly soaked from crouching down to look at his love when she was sitting in the shower. He sat on the bed, waiting for her to come out and smiled gently as he saw her walking out, the hoodie back on.
"You wanna talk about it?" He gently asked, as she sat next to him. She nodded, looking into his eyes and smiled sadly.
"Since I was stabbed, I've been having the nightmares and I'm scared." She whispered, letting her voice quaver as she looked away from him. He gently turned her head, so she was facing him again and smiled gently at her.
"Shh, gorgeous, it's okay." He whispered, drying her tears and cupped her face in his hands.
"You're safe now, I promise. I won't let her hurt you ever again and I'll do my best to help you sleep without them." She had a small smile, rubbing her eyes and held onto Robby like she was a baby koala. He rubbed her back, kissing her cheek and smiled softly.
"I love you." He whispered into her ear, standing up and wrapped one arm around her so she wouldn't fall as she clutched onto him. He grabbed laid her down, placing the covers over her and then laid down next to her. They were facing each other, Robby gently placing kisses on her face. He wrapped an arm around her, brining her close to his chest and rubbed small shapes on her back.
"It will be okay." He whispered, caressing her cheek and grinned as she had a sleepy look on her face. She fell asleep quickly, Robby smiled and kissed her lips and fell asleep soon after. The next morning, Robby woke up first. Smiling as he saw Miraleigh still asleep, he took Willow for a quick bathroom break and then walked back in. He looked at his phone, seeing it's a Wednesday and past the time school starts.
"Miraleigh..." He gently whispered, rocking her softly awake. She groaned and shook her head. Burying her face in the pillow, he chuckled and leaned down. Blowing some air into her ear, she quickly jumped up, rubbing her arms to stop the goosebumps and glared playfully at the boy. He chuckled and hugged her.
"I got a newspaper, we can look for some places to live." He gently said, kissing her lips and then stood up.
"But, we are gonna go down to a cafe and have breakfast." He whispered gently, dragging her up and kissed her lips softly. She hugged him limply, giggling as Willow was jumping at their legs. She crouched down, picking her up and giggled scratching behind her ear.
"I'm going to get dressed." He said, grabbing some clothes from the bag and smiled gently at her. She placed the puppy down, grabbing some clothes of her own and quickly changed as Robby changed in the bathroom. She brushed her hair free from knots, placing it in a loose and low ponytail. Robby walked to her, smiling and placed his watch on, then watched as she struggled to place the necklace on.
"Could you help me please?" He nodded, walking over to her and grabbed the necklace from her hands and gently placed it around her neck. He felt the need to be gentle with her, she was the light in his world. He knew she was hurting, someway she always was and he knew she could look out for herself. Just, to him, it was his thing when being with her.
He placed his hands on the side of her shoulder, leaning in and kissed her cheek. Rubbing her arms up and down, she giggled and turned around. Looking at him, smiling happily. He placed the keys in his pocket, walking out with Miraleigh and down to the cafe. They had some breakfast, then made their way back to the motel.
They got dressed into some formal clothes and took Willow for a walk before taking her back to the room. Miraleigh did Robby's hair, making it look like he was older and professional. She then did her hair in a side bun and a small smile on her lips. They went to apartments that were within an affordable price and nice.
"The one that the over looked part of the Valley was nice and it's closish to Cobra Kai." She gently said, pointing at the photo and then looked at Robby. He shook his head and pointed to another one.
"Didn't like that one, there was a group of dingy looking people and some of them were checking you out." She smiled slightly, nodding and put that one in the bin.
"What about the one close to the park? It looks safe, didn't see anyone I disagree with and while it is a bit further from the dojo it's still pretty good." He suggested, she smiled and nodded looking at the other one.
"That one doesn't allow dogs, even though it's a five minute walk to the dojo, I'm not giving Willow up." Miraleigh shook her and Robby smiled reassuringly and took her hands.
"Of course, I wouldn't make you get rid of her." She smiled gently, grabbing a pen and signed the piece of paper. Robby signed as well, gave the money in and then they were pretty much able to move in straight away. They weren't renting, but it was officially their own and they it came with furniture and it was all pretty good. They then bought a 'dog grass potty' placed it on the balcony. They only had the duffle bag, so they pretty much placed their things in the closest and photos around the rooms.
"Glad I can finally have place I'll enjoy calling home." He whispered gently to the girl. She smiled and hugged him tightly.
"I'm glad, I have a home with someone I love." He smiled gently, kissing her lips softly and started to make some dinner with the food they packed the house with.
