Robby frowned at her words, he could feel her fade into her dream world, sleeping and leaving him awake and alone with his thoughts. Robby hated when he did fall asleep with her, he hated lying in the silence and letting his thoughts fill the silence. Sleeping was hard lately, he didn't have the greatest of sleep during the nights, and every move he did wrong laid on his mind. Miraleigh moved her arm further up his back. Her head fell to the side, her hands loosened their grip on his shirt and the girl raised one of her legs up so it was bent slightly.
The boy raised one of his hands to rest on her forehead, softly playing with her hair, the boy closed his eyes and focused on the girl. Robby fell asleep eventually, he was thankful that he did and he was also thankful for the amount of sleep he got. Half of Robby's face was pressed against his pillow, he was lying on his stomach and his arm stretched over where Miraleigh would be lying and one of his legs raised in an 'L' like position and the other one being straight.
Robby's hand grasped the cloth on the bed, expecting to be grabbing onto the girl but didn't, which instantly woke him up and so he jolted up looking to see if she was in the room. The bathroom door was open, so she wasn't in there, there was no note in the room and he had no message on his phone.
The boy glanced around to look at everything, the room seemed fine, with no signs of distress and so he went to the connecting room to see if she was in there. She wasn't, Robby looked to see Johnny coming out of the bathroom looking as if he had just woken up.
"Hey, Robby... you okay?" The man questioned, being able to tell that the boy was distressed and uncomfortable without the girl nearby.
"Miraleigh isn't here, she usually does something to let me know she's leaving and I'm worried about how she's doing," Robby confessed, Johnny took a deep breath, making sure he didn't screw up a moment to help him.
"She'll be okay, Miraleigh knows what she's doing, if she's not back soon we'll look for her." The answer didn't really help him, but it did ease his mind just a little knowing the girl did know how to look after herself and would end up being fine overall.
Not even five moments later, the two both turned to see the door handle jiggling and shaking slightly as it was pushed open. Robby raced over to help Miraleigh once he saw her struggle, he took the trays from her hand, placed them on the table and then rested it on then took the drink holder out of her hands.
"I didn't mean to scare you, I just grabbed some breakfast, they do free breakfast here and the food is pretty great as well. Smells great anyway..." Robby kissed her forehead, smiling softly and caressed her cheek lovingly. Miraleigh sat next to Robby at the small round table, she grabbed the ham and cheese toastie along with the hot chocolate and started eating. Robby grabbed the pancakes, sipping on the coffee and Johnny reached for the two breakfast burgers.
Miraleigh hummed softly, in her own world as she ate breakfast, Robby thought to himself and thought about what it felt like to be in a family situation. The girl cleaned up once they had all finished and placed the meal trays outside the room. Robby grabbed her hand as they walked to the car to continue the trip. They all had changed outfits from the previous day, Miraleigh sat in the back by herself, staring out the window as they passed landscapes and buildings.
The journey so far was pretty laid back, they ate chips, chocolate and other foods from the gas stations. Miraleigh sang to the tunes, letting loose and cheering into the open world as the wind rushed through her, the random car here and there stared at her oddly when they noticed her sticking her arm out the window. Robby glanced back at her, smiling widely and happily to see her enjoying herself for once and having a good time for the first time in a long time.
The trio played some games, trying to get to know each, get closer to build relationships or rekindle what was once there. Robby moved to sit next to Miraleigh, Johnny's rock music played and the two teens just quietly spoke and had a chance to just be teens for once. It was nice, they both enjoyed it and they didn't have to worry about the things preventing them from enjoying their teen lives.
Robby kissed Miraleigh's cheek, smiling as the girl glanced from her book to look at him, her grin made him feel all giddy inside. The girl made him feel special, he adored her and would be incredibly grateful that the girl gave him another chance when he knew her beliefs. He knew that she had her standards and that she knew not to take a shit in a relationship. But Miraleigh trusted him enough, knew him well enough to know that it wouldn't happen again.
"I love you, sweetheart." He whispered, smiling as she giggled quietly and pressed her lips to his.
"I love you too." She whispered back, it still felt great knowing that she still loved him, still said it and still meant it. It gave him hope for growth in the future and gave him hope in knowing the girl wouldn't leave him if she thought that she needed to leave. Miraleigh held his hand, using the other one to hold her book as she continued reading.
"So, how did you two meet?" Johnny questioned, the two teens looked at each other, and Miraleigh smiled to herself and spoke about the memory.
"It was back when I worked at the theatre, he came down with those two shit heads and scammed the place. He later found me struggling and helped me out. The first time we officially met was when my dad and his mum went out on like a double date or something and I stayed at his place." Robby smiled at the thought, once again he was glad that the girl could see through him and see the better side of him.
"I still have that note, the one you left," Miraleigh added, Robby smiled and nodded at her words.
"Then it just became me working at the LaRussos' and learning karate, then getting to know Miraleigh more that we started to form a relationship. I offered her to learn Miyagi Do's style of karate and then it just played out from there." Robby explained, Johnny nodded as he listened to them explain it and then thought about another question.
"Have you heard anything from your dad?"
"No, he's staying low at the moment, he's helping Cobra Kai expand and is focusing on keeping his name clean." Miraleigh hated her family, hated how literally had nobody to care for her and nobody wanted to be with her. She wasn't lucky when it came to having a healthy family environment.
