35 Panic

Adams POV
"hey ba- Adam?"
"Uh yeah."
"Tom said she was up here in my room"
"She just went to get a shower. We talked about some stuff and I think she needed to go relax." I said trying not to engage him enough that he would start asking questions
"What did you talk about?"
"Stuff"
"Adam you know you can talk to me mate"
"I talked about when I found you." It took him a minute for him to understand what I meant by that
"Oh" he said softly
"Yeah. 'Oh' indeed" I nodded my head "Anyway did you get what you wanted to get?"
"Yeah. Mikey and Tom are gonna set it all up for me. Fucking legends." He paused a little then glanced over at me "You too. There for Lexi a lot."
"I try my best."
"That's all I can ask. You'd should probably go help them." I nodded
"Yeah I probably should"

Lexis POV
"Hey baby" I said sweetly when I noticed Adam had left the room and was now replaced by Dom
"Hey. I've got a surprise for you downstairs."
"Awe. Let me put my hair up and I'll be down" he didn't move off the bed "Don't tell me you're gonna do that cheesy hand over the eyes type thing"
"Well I was" he said looking sad
"Awe bubs I didn't mean to upset you." A smirk spread across his face "Don't mess with me like that Dom."
"Sorry. Are you done now?" He pouted at me and I couldn't help but chuck out the idea of messing with him right back
"Yeah. Cmon. You gonna at least let me walk down the stairs with my eyes open?"
"Fine. But my hands are going straight over your eyes when we get to the bottom"
"Deal" I followed him down and he did exactly as we agreed once I got to the bottom
"You ready? The boys helped do this so you better thank them too"
"Just fucking show me" I heard him reach Infront to fumble about with the door and he walked me inside once he opened it "I swear to god Dominic if you don't take your hands off my-" he pulled them away and my eyes landed on the living room. The sofa had been pushed out of the way and in the centre of the space was a festival-esque small tent that had been set up with blankets and pillows and stuff. It was a relatively large space so it fit quite nicely with more than enough space to walk around. The boys were stood in a line looking quite proud of themselves with what they had done "Wow."
"You like it?"
"Yeah. Why did you do this?"
"Because it's the first day back with nothing to worry about. We are both together. There's no arguing. Everything's perfect." I turned around and kissed him
"Woah Woah Woah. We are still here you know" Adam said
"I think we should leave them to it"
"You're not leaving yet." I said pulling away from Dom and giving him a hug. I hugged Mikey too and lastly Tom "Now you can leave me and Dom to it"
"Have fun" Adam said and for once it sounded innocent. Not like he was implying anything at all. I smiled at him
"Thanks guys"
"Our pleasure"

"We sleeping down here then?"
"Looks like it. It's so comfy I kind of want to do this every night" I chuckled softly
"If it didn't take over the living room I'd love to do that with you baby" I pecked his cheek softly "But it's nice when it's something special. Thanks for thinking about me"
"I always do." He smiled but his expression soon changed "What did you and Adam talk about."
"Personal stuff. Things I don't want to get into right now."
"He said it was about when he found me. After... Yknow. Just wanted to make sure you're alright"
"I'm good. We did talk but it felt good to get stuff off my chest." I deliberately avoided saying that Adam had gone into any depth because I wasn't quite sure what he knew.
"Okay. I'm glad you're alright." He smiled "I think that all the shit of the past few months has been good for us"
"How so?"
"You wouldn't have come back. Adam wouldn't be the way he is right now and it's brought you guys closer. It's just so much more-"
"Loving?"
"Yeah. That"
"He showed his love for me before. In different ways but he always had my back. Physical affection is new but I always knew he loved me."
"I know. I wasn't trying to say that-"
"I know you meant no harm. And I think you're right"
"About what?" I giggled at him
"About it being good for us. Gave me a reason to come back. And if Ashley hadn't have come to see you we would have never gone to the club and God knows how long it would have been before someone said something."
"It all worked out in the end eh?"
"Yeah it did. I'm tired as fuck."
"Go to sleep then" I looked up at him and pouted
"Dommy will you spoon me to sleep?" He chuckled
"How could I say no to that face?"

I was woken by strange sounds coming from outside the room. They soon faded in the direction of the kitchen but I was still worried. Dom was so out of it I managed to slip away and put a pillow in my place to settle him back down. As I got closer to the kitchen it sounded like quick breaths and slight whimpers of either fear or frustration. Then a loud smash. This made me run the few footsteps into the kitchen to see a smashed water glass and a very panicked looking Adam.
"Hey it's alright. Don't worry" I said softly. He shot his head towards me and nearly lost his balance so I opted to guide him away from the glass to an area of the kitchen floor where he could sit down "Sit down there against the cupboard" he did as he was told still shaking and his breathing not sorting itself out. I sat down Infront of him carefully keeping my distance "Breathe. In" he followed my instructions "and out. In. And out." We continued doing the breathing exercises together until he was back to normal "What happened"
"I don't know. Just woke up all panicky and I haven't had an anxiety attack in a while. I thought I had it under control when I came to get a glass of water but-"
"Hey it's alright" I spoke softly to calm him down again "Was it because of what we talked about?"
"It's fine"
"Adam if this is gonna work you need to be honest with me. Was it about what we said earlier?" He nodded and hung his head
"I don't even know why"
"That's okay. His don't ya just wish you knew why you're anxiety played up. Would make it easier for us eh?"
"Yeah I guess. Can suck sometimes"
"You want a cuddle before you go back up?" He nodded and I sat across his lap stroking my hand through his hair to calm his shaking. He eventually stopped and I thought it was my success but I soon discovered he'd fallen asleep leant against my shoulder "Adam. Adam love you've got to get up" he groaned and wrapped his arms round my waist to hold me there "Cmon. You should go to bed. Now I know you're alright."
"If I told you I wasn't alright would ya stay with me?"
"Would it be a lie?"
"Yeah but if I got you to stay with me it would be worth lying to you"
"I honestly don't know whether to think that's cute or not. But seriously. Get up and go to bed."
"Tuck me in"
"You're grown you don't need to be tucked in"
"Dom does it for you" he defended. I paused trying to think of a response "Please. Just come and stay with me I'll fall asleep quicker with you there"
"Alright. Cmon then" I got up and finally he let go of me "Are you alright?"
"Yeah"
"Adam promise me"
"Yeah I am"

"That's was nice what you did for him"
"You heard?"
"You were raising your voice a lot even though you were talking soft. Plus you left the door open."
"Shit. Sorry"
"It's alright. Like I said it's sweet what you did for him. Is he alright?"
"I don't know. I don't truly know if anyone's alright anymore." I realised what I had said and sighed "I didn't mean-"
"No. It's fine. It's kinda true." I moved closer to him
"Was kind of rough though. Haven't seen him that fucked up for a long time. I know it happens but he always hides it from me"
"He tries. You want to talk about it?"
"You wouldn't mind?"
"Not at all. I know you will sleep better if you get it off your chest"
"Thanks baby"
"Always here to listen. Now go on. Tell me what's on your mind pretty"
