67 Dom's Back

Dom's POV
"Shh. Try and be quiet" Adam said quietly "Tom and Lexi are still asleep."
"Oh. Was planning on seeing her."
"You still can mate. She came down here from Donny to see ya. She's not going to miss out on that. But they are still asleep."
"Okay." Had she really come here to see me? It didn't feel like I'd ever see her again the way I spoke to her. It was just like the first time she left. And I knew deep down that I worried her to fuck. But drinking seemed to help. I followed Adam through to the kitchen where Michael was stood talking to Colson
"Hey man. You good?"
"Yeah Kells. Fine."
"Why don't we all go out for a coffee?" Mikey said out of nowhere. It seemed as though he felt awkward. Like he was hiding something.
"Sounds good." I lied "Better than shitty hospital tea."
"Great. Then the two sleeping beauties will hopefully be awake when we get back"
"Yeah. Hopefully." Colson and Michael left the room but Adam stuck behind a little
"I need to warn you. She's a little-"
"Broken?"
"Kind of. Just don't get too arsey if she's clingy with tom. He's the only one she really goes to now. And don't you dare disrespect him for it. He fucking loves that girl and he's doing his best."
"Wasn't planning on it. I'm an idiot Adam. And I know damn well how much she means to him."
"Alright." He defended holding his hands up, a slight smirk forming on his face though he was trying his best to hide it "Just warning ya. Now cmon dickhead. Let's go. I'll text Tom when we're on our way back yeah."
"Sounds like a plan."

Lexi's POV
"Lexi you need to get up. The boys are coming back."
"What?"
"They knew we were sleeping so went out for coffee. Adam said he bought you a frappucino thing. I don't fucking know" I giggled at him and turned onto my back so I was looking up at him "Colson is with them too."
"Are you okay with that?"
"Think so."
"Tom if your not I'll explain to the boys and they'll soon get rid."
"No. We should let him see Dom. That's who he's here for"
"Alright. But if he kicks off I'll be the one to fight him this time. Cus that's just taking the piss."
"You will not fight him. You and the little bean in there are gonna stay right where I can fucking see you."
"I'm not a kid."
"Too bad. Cus then I'd know where you were all the time." He booped my nose gently making me scrunch my face up "Get up. They're almost here" he pulled his phone out again "Is it alright if Dom comes and talks to you?"
"Sure. Why?"
"Adam said he wanted to ask. Didn't wanna force you or nothing."
"Yeah it's fine." I sat up and against the back of the sofa "Just make sure your near though. So I can come to you if it goes wrong."
"Okay. I'll be there." I smiled at him and the exchange was brief before the door opened

Dom's POV
I walked into the living room and couldn't help but worry that I'd walked in on something. The two of them were smiling at each other
"It's alright Dom." Lexi said "Don't need to freak out or nothing. Come in" Tom stood up and left the room close by the door behind him to ensure we had enough privacy. I sat down distancing myself from Lexi "you alright?"
"I mean besides the almost dying I'm doing just fine. How about you?"
"Tom's been looking after me so I'm alright."
"Good."
"I forgive you. For what you did. I know everything was getting a bit much again. Would hate to lose you."
"I love ya lex."
"You too. But I don't know if we can be back together." I took a deep breath and knew exactly what I had to say
"I understand."
"Thank you Dominic."
"Lexi can I still be a dad?" I asked looking down at my hands in my lap and nervously biting my lip
"I wouldn't dream of taking that away from you. Dom I'm never going to use our baby as some kind of pawn."  I looked up at her with teary eyes "Dom darlin' come here" i shook my head and got up
"Everything's been said that needs to be. You can go home now."
"Dom. I can stay for a bit longer if you want?" I shook my head and sighed
"Lexi you came to see if I was okay. And I am. See. I'll get Tom to get your stuff."
"At least let me say bye to the boys."
"I don't care what you do lex. It's not my problem anymore."
"Can't we just go back to how it was before?"
"Lexi. No we can't. We both made that step and now there's no going back. Say bye to the boys and go." I walked out of the room and saw Tom sat on the bottom step of the stairs "I think you better..." I pointed at the open doorway expecting him to start yelling but he didn't. He just nodded and walked in.

Lexis POV
"What happened?" Tom asked gently
"He told me to go. Said that everything that needs to be said has been."
"Not even saying bye?"
"He said he don't care what I do. Cus I'm not his 'problem'. I'm not a problem am I?" I asked him looking down
"No you're not. Cmere." I stood up and hugged him "Let's go say bye to the boys. I already booked a hotel last night."
"I don't wanna go Tom. This is my fucking home. I want us to be okay and it's all gone wrong." I started crying into his shoulder
"I'm gonna take you away for a bit. Then you have a clear head to decide what to do yeah?"
"Take me where?"
"Anywhere but here. I wasn't planning on anywhere extravagant but we can go somewhere if you like?" I nodded "We can decided when we get to the hotel later. Now go on. You can ask Adam and Mikey if they want to come?"
"No. Just us."
"Okay. That's fine. Go on then darlin' go say bye." He kissed the top of my head and let go "I can come with you if you want?" I nodded and took his hand tightly in my own
"Thanks." I mumbled
"Your welcome."
