71 But I Want You There

I looked around the fancy hotel room and smiled wide
"So how long we here for?"
"Four nights. But we don't have to leave until three the last day. Which bed you want?" I jumped face first onto the nearest bed to me
"This one"
"I figured." I pushed myself up so I could stand and walked up to him
"Thank you" I said. For the first time since we got back from la I felt unsure about what I should do. He noticed and looked at me strange
"You alright?"
"Can I hug you?" He laughed lightly and picked me up to hug me tight
"Don't make things weird between us Lexi. Course you can hug me." I wrapped my legs around him gripping on like a koala making him laugh at me "cmon you gotta get down." He pleaded though he made no effort to make me and instead helped hold me up when I started loosing grip
"Can we cuddle?" I asked burying my face in his neck and smiling against the warm skin
"Suppose so" he said sitting down with me still wrapped around him. He successfully managed to lean up against the velvet headboard of the bed with me still attached to him "Adams gonna be here soon. Apparently you told him to keep it a secret."
"Don't want anyone else to know where I am. Dom don't deserve to know"
"Alright darlin'. Whatever you want to do. It's up to you."
"Thanks Tom." He gently ran his fingers through my hair
"Why'd you always thank me?"
"You do everything for me. And I love you lots silly" he giggled at me "Sorry. I know I'm acting like a baby."
"I like it. Don't be sorry for acting how you want."
"Wow. You really have changed. A while ago you were so scared."
"And now we've had sex so don't even go there." I laughed and he squirmed a little because I tickled his neck "what about Adam?"
"What about him?"
"You gonna tell him?"
"If you don't want me to that's okay."
"No. You tell him if you trust him enough. But I'm just worried his reaction might ruin this for you."
"Well he can suck it can't he. Fuck off back to the house with the boys." I kissed him gently "Leave us to it."
"Right now?" He asked a little surprised. I nodded kissing him again "Lex I don't want to" I stopped kissing him and went back to being cuddled up to his neck
"That's okay"
"You stopped?" He asked surprised. I thought at first he was taking the piss but I soon found out it was genuine
"Yeah I did. You didn't want to so I stopped."
"Yeah. Cool. That's what your supposed to do. Ignore me."
"Your ex. Did she...?" He nodded his head and I sat up moving my hand up to his cheek "Oh my god. I'm sorry I just didn't ask you. That probably triggered you." He placed his hand over mine
"I'm alright. You stopped when I asked. That's alright."
"Still shouldn't have approached it like that." I mumbled getting up despite his protests and lying down on my own bed

"Do you want some food Lexi?" He asked after a short while
"Where from?"
"Don't know. I was thinking about going out for something and bringing it back. Fancy hotel food doesn't seem your thing"
"Can you bring some nuggets back? And get me a chocolate milkshake." He chuckled slightly and came over perching himself on the edge right beside me
"Anything else from the shops or anything?"
"Can you get me some chocolate?"
"Course I can" he leaned down to kiss my forehead gently "Keep an ear out for Adam. But I'll warn him you might be sleeping okay?"
"Okay."
"Good. Be back later"

Tom's POV
I ended up bumping into Adam on my way out so I took him along with me
"She might be asleep mate."
"That's alright" Adam said shrugging "She not sleeping at night?"
"Generally yeah. But she was up last night and it's been kind of up and down since we came back."
"Dom's fucked up about it too. He's not drinking though. Promised he's gonna be here for his kid. Grateful for that I guess."
"You wanna talk about it?"
"Not really. Them fears never go away though"
"Same here. But we'll be alright. I'm sure of it." We walked out of the lift and towards the door to the room "Listen Adam I've got to tell you something. I-"
"You're here!" Lexi exclaimed running down the hall to envelop Adam in a hug "I'm sorry I left so suddenly."
"It's alright." He said softly, hugging her back though admittedly less rough "Why don't you let go. I've got some news." She let go of him and instead dragged him by the hand into the room leaving me to take the case he'd brought with him.

Lexis POV
"So what's your news?"
"Me and abi. Uh were-"
"You got together?" His nervous lip curled into a smile
"Yeah we did. The boys don't know properly yet. I wanted to tell you first in case."
"In case of what. I'm happy for you. You deserve this." I hugged him once more and started giggling when I heard Tom struggling with Adams case and the guitar case he had too
"I brought your guitar. Thought that you'd want to take it back to Donny." He said the last part quietly as if it pained him to think that I was that far away "Come home. Please"
"I can't Adam" I replied letting go and flopping down onto the bed "Dom don't want me there."
"But I want you there."
"And he's there too. If it bothers you that much come back to Doncaster with us. Back to how it was before you left me."
"Sorry about that."
"Can we just forget it. Just have a nice time."
"Lexi I miss you at ho-"
"I know" I said quickly and with a slight hint of anger though not at him "I just don't want to fucking talk about it."
"Lex give him a break. He misses you a lot." I sat up
"Don't you think I fucking miss him?" I asked starting to cry "But I just don't want to be reminded on this nice fucking trip!" I stood up and began to walk out
"Lexi just-'" Adam began but Tom interrupted him
"Let her go. She don't wanna be here so let her go." He picked up my phone from the drawers beside his bed and held it out for me. I paused for a moment but took it eventually "Answer my calls okay?" I nodded and he did the same back "Stay safe" I walked out and closed the door left confused to say the least. But at least I knew he cared about me.
