57 The Flight Back

I woke up nestled between the two boys. The bed was big enough but Id ended up with my face buried in Tom's neck, an arm over his chest, and Adams arms wrapped around my waist. I didn't wanna get up or move. They both seemed so peaceful so I just smiled and waited for them to wake up. I hoped it would be slow and calm but the peace was soon disturbed by a loud phone alarm. Tom reached his hand out to the side and eventually grabbed it bringing it up to his face and squinting slightly
"Morning lex." He mumbled "It's Sam."
"Answer it then" he didn't do anything so I reached over and did it for him, mum's face soon popping up on the screen and bringing a strange sense of comfort
"Hi Sam"
"Oh sorry have I just woken you up?"
"No it's fine. Did you want something. I'm not with Dom at the moment."
"I know about that. That's why I'm ringing I wanted to know if you would like to come stay with us for a while? Because Dom is cancelling his tour so I figured he would be back at the place you're staying."
"Where the boys gonna sleep?" I asked. Tom tilted the camera towards me but I swatted it away making him giggle
"I thought that one could take Jems room. And then either one could take the couch or bunk with you? There's room for another bed."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes Tom darling I'm sure. It's the least I can do if you're gonna look after my Lexi-bear."
"Mum." I whined "You haven't called me that in years"
"Just let me know when you get a flight. I'll get Justin to come pick you up from the airport. I'm sure he can book a hotel"
"Well we got a flight for later today so I guess he better do that now. I'll text you the details."
"Alright then. I'll see you soon love. Send my love to Adam too"
"I will. Bye."
"Bye" Tom put the phone back and rested his head back against the pillow
"We need to get up." I shook my head "Seriously Lexi. You need to wake up and we need to get ready for this flight."
"What time is it?"
"9am. But we all gotta get ready." I lifted up slightly so Tom could get up but the movent only prompted Adam to pull me closer to him "Adds. You need to wake up. Let's go. We're going back to Doncaster."

I didn't take in much of the flight. I didn't fall asleep as usual I just zoned out playing a game on my phone and then just eventually sitting there watching the film Tom was watching in utter silence since he was the one wearing the headphones
"You want to watch this with me?"
"No. Just looking for something to focus on." He paused the film and put the headphones down on the pull down tray Infront of him
"Listen I know you're nervous but we're there."
"But it's supposed be Dom. What do I do when the baby is here. Ignore him forever. And what if adam-"
"Adam was just angry. He won't stop Dom from seeing the baby."
"I dunno Tom. He seemed pretty serious. You know he'd fucking die for me."
"Wow. Why you being so dramatic for?" I chuckled a little entertaining his attempt to lighten the mood
"I guess I have to deal with those issues when they come"
"Yeah. That's the attitude to have I guess." He looked over at Adam fast asleep "How long til he wakes up?"
"Well there's an hour left of the flight so I guess until then. I didn't want to wake him up and worry him."
"Why didn't you come to me? It's just a movie it's not that important" He smiled at me and I broke down again falling into him "I know you don't wanna hear this right now but dom's coming back too." He felt me tense up and just held me tighter talking through me crying "Don't worry. I won't let him get to you. I promise okay?" I nodded and calmed down a little
"I'm sorry I'm such a fucking wreck. I just don't know how to handle this. I just wish Dom wasn't so famous. I wish it was like when I first met him and he was just starting out."
"You know he'd drop his entire career for you?"
"He said that?"
"He always has said it. You gave him purpose. When he didn't wanna live past twenty." He slowly pulled me away from him "I know that he will come running back. And you'll be happy and take him back."
"He accused me of cheating. I can't take him back"
"Is that what you think? Or others."
"I don't know. But I want to marry him. And be happy with him. But I don't think I can do that with all this fame. Ever since I came back all we have done is fight. I wish I would have just stayed with ally" I saw his own eyes tear up "Tom i-"
"No. It's fine. Let's just watch the film for the rest of the flight yeah?"
"Tom-"
"Not right now." He said with more force. I moved all the way back and sat properly in my seat
"Alright. No need to be like that"

Justin was stood waiting for us all. He was holding a sign that said my name on it and it made me smile slightly
"Look." I said tugging on Tom's sleeve like a little kid and pointing towards him. Tom smiled and let me walk ahead up to him. I gave him a hug and even he was surprised
"You don't give me hugs. Are you alright?"
"Just not seen you in a while" I lied. He knew full well that it was a lie but he said nothing as I pulled away and let him lead me and the boys to the car.
"I don't know if you guys have eaten but Sam said I should pick up some food for you guys."
"Sounds good. I'm starving." Adam said getting into the back seat
"Well we can stop off at a drive thru and get something. You sitting in the back with them?" I nodded and he seemed satisfied with the answer as he soon started helping the boys put the stuff in the car. I chose to sit in the middle between the two of them. Both because I was the smallest and because I wanted to have them both there. I knew I'd end up relying on them more than anything. Justin started driving and once his attention was fully taken Tom turned to me
"I'm sorry about the plane."
"I get it. But it was never a dig at you. I guess I just wanted all the shit I've been through to end."
"I know." He said softly "You gotta be tired you didn't sleep at all on that flight. You wanna get some sleep now while we're on a long drive."
"No."
"You need sleep. I'm worried about you. It all happened in a bit of a rush."
"I'm not tired." I lied
"Alright. I ain't gonna make you sleep." He looked to the other side of me "Looks like he's doing enough for the two of you."
"I need to sort my appointments out. Will you help me?"
"We can do all that another time. That's not important."
"Alright." It went silent and I rested my head on his shoulder "Can we get food closer to home Justin?"
"Sure. That's fine. Are you all alright back there?"
"Yeah. I'm fine. Thanks for the lift"
"No problem."
