69 "fuck" "we did"

Tom shoved past me not long after I opened the door
"Tom? Tom where you going?" He turned round still edging backwards down the hallway
"Away from you" he spat before turning back around and walking away
"Argument?" Sam asked
"Something like that. You staying?"
"No lex. Were going to see something at the theatre." Justin said
"You sound super excited about that. Bet Izzy booked it?"
"Yep. But I said I'd do it for my girls. You coming too?" I felt my heart swell a little at the way I knew he thought of me as one of his girls. He was really making an effort "I'm sure we could get a ticket?"
"No. I'm fine."
"Are you going to be okay here on your own."
"Yeah mum. I'll be alright."
"Okay. Call me if you need anything." Justin brought the cases into the room as i gave her a hug
"You too" I said hugging Justin before he could resist. I let go of him and he smiled "Have fun at the theatre."
"Will do kiddo. See you soon"
"Bye." They began to walk out the room "love you" I said with my back still turned
"Least turn round when you talk to your mum"
"Was talking to you" I said turning around
"Oh. Right. Well I love you too" he stuttered out awkwardly. I chuckled and shook my head
"What he means to say is-"
"I know what he means" I smiled and glanced up at him for a moment before looking back to mum "See you soon then. I'll be coming back after me and Tom go to this hotel thing."
"You're welcome anytime kiddo." His phone started buzzing "It's Izzy. Mind if we-"
"No. Go on. Better get going cus she'll be mad if you're late. Tell her I love you from me yeah?"
"Okay. Bye" I waved them off down the hallway before closing the door resting my head against it and sighing. I didn't even know if I was going to the hotel. I didn't know if Tom was even gonna come back. Or where he was. I got back into bed and curled up calling Adam straight away despite knowing I would wake him up
"Adam." I stutter starting to cry "I've fucked up"

Adams POV
"What happened?" I asked
"Tell her to get lost mate. Don't need her stressing you out" Dom said. I genuinely had no clue where that attitude had come from since he'd been moping since he told Lexi to leave
"Fuck off Dom!" Lexi shouted through the phone. I couldn't help but smirk as he walked out of the room but my expression quickly changed when I turned to Lexi "Me and Tom had an argument and now he's gone and stormed out. I don't know where he is and I'm on my own"
"I can stay on the phone with you?"
"Please. Just talk to me or something?" She propped me up on something and cuddled the blanket back up to her face. I knew if I kept talking she'd eventually fall back to sleep if she'd even been asleep at all "Adam?"
"Shit. Sorry. Want me to tell you about abi?" She smiled
"Yeah. Go on. Would be good to think that loves not completely pointless." I ignored her comment since I knew focusing on it would wind her up
"She's back home. Turned out she was on her last few weeks of her job over there. She lives round the corner from us."
"That's great" she said sleepily closing her eyes as she relaxed into the pillow. I continued talking about abi and eventually other stuff until she finally fell asleep. I smiled and waited a little while before I whispered a soft "good night" and ended the call.

Lexis POV
I woke up with tom behind me. He was fast asleep with his arm tightly around my waist and his face pressed into my neck. His soft breathing was tickling my neck so I wriggled a little in his grip to lie on my back. He practically fell onto me his head now resting on my chest and his arm loosely draped over my whole form.
"Fucked up lex" he said not yet opening his eyes
"What?"
"I don't love you" I tensed up thinking the worst and he noticed "Shit. I meant I'm not in love with you. What I did was wrong. I just wanted to..." He trailed off not wanting to confront the situation
"I'm not an idiot. No one kisses someone like that innocently. I know we would have had sex if they hadn't have knocked."
"But that would have been wrong. Because I'm not in love with you. There was no fucking feeling. Just the fucking." I chuckled a little at his joke
"And there's no problem with that is there? Not if both people are consenting. I was willing. Or else I would have pushed you away wouldn't I?"
"We can't. That would be using you"
"And I'd be using you then. So we're even."
"Lexi" he whined clearly split on his decision
"It's just sex. And if you want we can just forget it ever happened. We'd still be best mates and it wouldn't interfere with that." He slipped his hand up my shirt but went to retract his hand again. I quickly held it down from above the fabric "It's alright. Stop worrying." He slowly moved his hand across my skin as if he was revelling in the new setting and areas I'd allowed him to touch
"I can't" he pulled his hand out from under my shirt altogether and rested his head on my chest "It would be wrong."
"Sure. You're right. It would be wrong." He nodded
"Completely and utterly wrong"

"Fuck." Tom said rather loudly after a few moments of silence
"Yeah we did."
"You alright?"
"More than alright. Feel quite relaxed actually. Helped relieve some of my stress."
"Don't get used to it." I looked up at him from where I was lay on his chest
"I won't." I said before setting it back down again. It felt like what we usually did. Cuddled up on the couch or wherever was comfy enough. Normal for us.
"You think what we did was wrong?"
"Sure god would agree. But personally no. We both agreed. And most importantly consented."
"You don't think I'm like Colson?"
"You think too much." I stated sitting up "I'm gonna shower and get ready. Gotta make something of the day. Or what's left of it anyway."
"You know I love ya right? And wouldn't do anything to hurt ya."
"Tom. It's alright."
"Right. Okay. As long as you-"
"I promise." I said chuckling as I threw his hoodie on. It covered me as much as it needed too as I padded over to the small bathroom where Tom already had his towel "Get ready and well go out for a walk yeah? Talk things over."
