3 Home Sweet Home

I opened my eyes to see Dom fast asleep his arms still wrapped tightly around my waist. I didn't want to wake him so I just stayed looking at his sleeping face. It might sound weird but it felt a little bit better seeing him so calm. And out of harm's way. All of a sudden his eyes shot open making me jump
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare ya" he chuckled "you watching me sleep lex?" He teased
"You looked so peaceful" I mumbled into his chest
"I was. First night without nightmares since... Yknow"
"Was that cus of me?"
"Yeah" he picked up a piece of hair and twirled it around his fingers before letting it fall gently back down. He repeated the action over and over as he whispered to me "You were whimpering in your sleep did you have a nightmare?"
"Don't remember" I lied
"Lex" he warned
"Okay maybe I do. But I don't want to talk about it. It scared the shit out of me"
"No kidding. I had to grip you tight for you to finally calm down"
"Thanks"
"My pleasure. Ally came up before. Said Adam had called her and in his words "needs to check you haven't killed me". Bit harsh to be honest."
"Is he coming?"
"Yeah. In about..." He checked his phone on the bedside table "half an hour"
"Okay. We should get up"
"I know but your comfy"
"You mean you're comfy and I'm just forced to stay with you?"
"Yeah that." I rolled onto my back and sat up
"Cmon pumpkin let's go see Adam."
"Wow sarcasm runs strong today" he remarked matching my tone. I rolled my eyes at him and stood up
"Cmon get dressed"

"Ah there you two are." Adam said walking over to us. He stood and waited awkwardly whilst I looked at him "I've missed ya" he said sweetly before pulling me into a hug I hugged him back and we stayed like that for a while "cmon I know you're okay now" he pulled away "you are okay right?"
"Yeah. I'm alright Adam. I'm coming home today"
"You are?" I nodded and he shot a glare at Dom "you should go get your stuff packed then"
"I'm 20 not a kid Adam. I can listen to what you have to say"
"Fine" he huffed and looked back to Dom "Is it sensible to bring her back to ours? Place is a fucking wreck mate."
"You said he cleaned it"
"No." Dom corrected sternly "I said he cleaned your room. Listen Adam the place is fine shell be alright"
"Okay. Fine. But she stays out with me while you clean up that fucking shit tip you call a living room." Dom opened his mouth but then caught sight of my worries face and closed it again "agreed?"
"Yeah" Dom mumbled "is Mikey in or do I need the keys?"
"Mikey's in. Now cmon get gone. I want the poor girl back today at least" Dom surprisingly listened and left the house swiftly "Wanna go out and eat?"
"Why'd you send him away?" I asked quietly my voice cracking slightly as I spoke
"I didn't mean to make you cry" he said softly "he's gonna be okay"
"You don't know that. You can't fucking know that for sure" I argued. He stood his ground and walked closer to me resting a hand on my shoulder to test the water
"I can't. You're right. But I can be damn near fucking sure that he will. And you trust me enough on that right?" I looked up making eye contact with him and his face fell a little more just at the sight of my teary eyes "Don't cry I don't like it when you cry"
"C-can I have a h-hug?" I stuttered out as I cried
"Cmere" I wrapped my arms around his torso and he fit his arms round me tightly "It's gonna be hard but you'll be alright"
"Hey lex do y-" ally began, stopping when she realised what was happening. "oh shit sorry I didn't realise" she quickly left the living room making me chuckle a little before returning to my mopey state
"Cmon. We don't have to go out if you don't want to."
"Can we stay here? Just so if anything happens I know I'm close to him"
"But-" he began trying to explain to me that nothing bad would happen "yknow what, yeah. Seems like a plan"

Adam ended the phone call and looked down at me "Dom's cleaned up. We can get back now. Take you home"
"Awe did you miss me?" I joked pulling away but I caught sight of his teary eyes as he nodded "Aw Adam love you could have called"
"It doesn't matter now anyway. It's fine." He stood up as I pulled my shoes on and I quickly followed him outside
"Adam are you alright?" He didn't answer me so I ran up to him and hugged him tight before pulling away and getting into his car like nothing happened. He stayed stood on the pavement a little while longer before getting in the driver's seat and starting the car up
"I know we're not talking about it but thank you. I really needed that"
"You're welcome" I replied before leaving it simply at that. The journey to the house seemed longer than it used to be. It had been so long it didn't feel normal. I eventually gave in and stared down at my hands that were rested in my lap the whole time so zoned out I didn't even notice we had pulled up
"Home sweet home" Adam said sarcastically as he nudged me. I jumped slightly before realising where we were
"Is Dom in?"
"Yeah. Just head straight in" he got out of the car and I stayed put trying to gather myself. He opened the door and held out his hand to me "cmon I'll come with you" I smiled slightly and took him up on his offer. Before we even walked up to it Dom had opened the door and I immediately let go of Adams hand and ran to him. He picked me up and walked inside with me
"Don't go making this a regular thing lex. Can't afford to carry ya everywhere"
"I missed you" He sighed realising why I did
"I know lex, I know" he clutched me tighter "I'm sorry." He whispered "but I told ya I'm okay now." I took my legs from around him and set myself down on the floor his arms still wrapped around my waist to hug me a little longer "cmon. We can go order something to celebrate"
"I'm good. I don't wanna celebrate coming back"
"Why?"
"Because of the reason why."
"Oh" he said sadly. I pulled away and instead wrapped my arms over his shoulders
"But I am happy I'm back" he nodded and pushed his forehead to meet mine both of us staring into the others eyes
"I fuckin love you." He said softly "and I'm not going anywhere anytime soon okay?"
"Yeah"
"Then please let me celebrate you coming home."
"Okay. Let's do it"

"She's wasted" Mikey said pointing towards me
"I'm not drunk!" I protested
"Yeah you are" Tom piped up
"Shut it Tom. I'm having fun. Let me be" I walked to the kitchen to pour myself a drink but Dom soon followed
"I think you've had enough love"
"No fair! You boys get to drink as much as you want"
"I know your limit better than you do sunshine. And I know you'll start throwing up if I let ya drink anymore" I turned around to argue stumbling a little "see what I mean"
"Fine" I huffed giving in
"Cmon. You can still stay down here with us I'm not kicking you out to bed" he hugged me "I just don't want ya getting hurt or anything"
"Thanks" I replied weakly
"Cmon. Let's go back out" I followed him back out into the living room and all the boys were sat down either on the floor or on the sofa. Dom sat down and Adam went to get up to leave room for me "no she's fine" he pat his lap and I sat down on it settling into him like I always did. Adam raised an eyebrow and tried to contain a smirk but the slightly upturned corner of his lip gave it away
"Stop it Adam." I said kicking him
"Dominic you should really control your girlfriend" he mocked making me even more irritated. I sat up and then put more force into kicking him
"Seriously Adam shut the fuck up" I spat before cuddling back up to Dom. He kept his mouth shut after that and just spoke to the boys instead.
"You tired love?" Dom whispered softly trying to avoid more teasing from the boys
"Yeah but I don't wanna leave you" I whispered gripping him tighter. He ran his hands through my hair to try and relax me a little probably so that I wasn't hurting him.
"I'll come tuck you in like always hmm?" He rested his chin on top of my head
"No because then you'll come back down"
"Ill-"
"No Dom I'm not moving" I protested
"If youd let me finish I was gonna say I'll come stay up there with you"
"No. Cus then you can't chat with the boys"
"Alright. You can stay down here but if you fall asleep I'll carry you up okay?"
"Okay"
