9 Found Me

"Dom said you be here" I looked up from staring at the cars below to see colson stood there. The car was a fair few metres up the road and from what I could see there was no one in it "Don't worry. Came alone."
"How's Adam?"
"Upset that you lied to him" I looked away again and back down at my feet as they dangled over the edge through the gap at the bottom of the bridge barrier "I promised him I'd come get you and then Dom told me where you'd be. He refused to tell Adam. And I refused to take him with me"
"Who? Dom or Adam?"
"Adam. Dom didn't want to come. Thought you wouldn't want him here"
"Too right."
"He cried" he said sitting behind me so that I was sat between his legs. The road was fairly quiet and the pathway was empty. He wrapped his arms tightly around me
"You trying to guilt trip me?"
"No. Just wanted you to know he does care." He noticed I was shivering and took his hoodie off soon pulling it over my head and letting go just enough for me to be able to slip my arms through
"Thank you." He wrapped his as back around me even tighter this time and I realised his shoulders were bare "Do you have a shirt on?"
"No. But that doesn't matter"
"But you'll freeze"
"I'll be fine." He took my hand in his and held it tightly "So why do you come here?"
"Cus it's where me and Dom used to come when we had breaks from touring and shit. And I like watching the lights on the cars and trucks on the motorway. It's pretty." I leaned back into him "I need to go see Adam."
"And Dom."
"No colson. He made his view clear." He sighed giving in
"Okay. Let's go"

I opened the door and walked inside immediately being met with Adam sat on the stairs looking nervous. He looked up at me and stood up both of us standing in silence for a few moments. That was until I started crying
"Don't cry" he said walking over and placing his hands on my cheeks. I leaned into his touch "I am so fucking glad you're okay." I nodded "but don't ever fucking lie to me like that" and then he let go and walked off upstairs to his room.
"You want this back?" I asked colson
"You can wear it if you want" I nodded "What are you gonna do now?"
"Go to bed. I'm sleeping in Mikey's room. I think he's finally back tomorrow. They must have heard about the drama and rescheduled"
"Alright. I'm gonna go back to the hotel." I nodded "Go talk to Adam. He'll understand"
"Not tonight"
"Promise you'll do it soon though"
"I promise"

I curled up against the wall my bed was sat against and cried. I'd tried my hardest to not let anyone else hear but I was almost certain that they had all gone to sleep since by then it was around 4am. I rested my head on my knees and let everything out knowing that I'd have a good chance of cleaning myself up for the morning. Then I heard a knock on the wall. I thought I was imagining things so I calmed down and listened again. Then it was there again. I knew the room next door to mine was Adams room and I held my breath hoping he would go back to bed. The silence made it easy to hear him get up from the floor by the wall but no sooner than that did I hear my phone buzz against the bedside table. I picked it up to see a message from him
'are you crying?'
'no' I replied
'yeah you are. Come in here with me if you want' I didn't respond to his offer I just stared at the message for a while deciding whether or not I should go. I must've taken a while because he followed up with another message after it
'im not mad at you. Please come at least so I know you're alright'
'i am alright'
'youve been crying in your room for the past three hours. You're not alright.'
'okay. I get your point.'
'so are you coming or not?' I rolled my eyes and walked out of my room and into his own not even bothering to knock. He was lay down in bed with his back to the door but he soon turned around when he heard me
"You wanna go downstairs?"
"No." I closed the door behind me and turned back around to face him. He lifted the blanket up beside him and patted the bed
"Cmon. We can talk about it" I cautiously crawled into the bed beside him and my body was tense as I got comfortable. I had my back to him but he pulled me in and wrapped his arms around me instantly calming me down
"I'm sorry I lied"
"It's okay" I turned around in his hold so I was facing him instead
"It's not. But I didn't know what else to do. I promise you that I would have come back. I have nowhere else to go anyway"
"What about your friends?"
"What ally? Her dad's back from his year abroad now so I can't go back there."
"Well it's fine you can stay here."
"Thank you" I said gently placing my hand on his cheek. We held eye contact for a while in utter silence. I turned back around so I was once again the little spoon and he hugged me tight "thanks for letting me stay with you"
"You're gonna hate me for saying this but you need to talk to Dom later"
"I just wanna go to sleep right now"
"Okay. Goodnight"
"Night"

"Good morning ad- oh. Lex?"
"Morning Tom." I mumbled sleepily "Didn't know you were here"
"Ditto" I chuckled
"I'll explain later. I'll be down soon yeah" he stepped closer and that's when he noticed how red my face was. And the dark circles under my eyes. I knew he saw it from the way he raised his eyebrow and silently gasped from shock but he said nothing and left the room. I managed to wrestle from Adams grip and quickly catch up to him tugging him by the hand into my own room which was the furthest away from the stairs.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine. Long story short Dom kissed me at the club. Then he slept with ash then we got into a fight about it"
"You two fight all the time though"
"He screamed at me. And shoved me. Told me to get out of his fucking house. So I did. But colson brought me back"
"Where the fuck is he? Thinking he can touch you like that i-" I pulled him back down on the bed
"Don't. Besides Dom cried and told colson where to find me."
"So how did you end up in adams bed?"
"I was sleeping in Mikey's room and he heard me crying. So he invited me into his room so I wasn't alone"
"Dom still had no right to shove you like that. Did he hurt you?"
"Tom I'm fine. It's alright"
"Did he hurt you though?" I looked up at him and our eyes met. I knew he was no longer asking solely about the fight. Or even just about the physical pain.
"Yeah. But it's fine I'll get over it"
"I'll go talk to him"
"No you won't"
"Yeah I will he can't hurt you like that lex. We've spoken about this before about how he can't fucking push you away then I leave for two seconds and he's done that."
"Tom you-"
"If it blows up you never knew about it"
"Fine. Whatever." I rolled my eyes and looked down as he left the room and stormed off to find Dom
"Fucks sake Lexi" I said to myself "Just keep your mouth shut"
