Bonnie and Eevee got off the plane and had to take a boat ride to Pallet through Route 21
They still had to walk a little bit as despite the boat dropping them off in Pallet Town Professor Oak's lab and most of the main buildings and houses were more towards the center
"Ok we just got to get to the lab to meet up with Professor Oak," Bonnie said as she looked at her map "So we just gotta get through this nice trail and we're there"
"Ee!" Eevee said
"Yeah let's go!"
One moment later
"Why did you have to make all those Spearows angry Eevee!" Bonnie yelled as she and Eevee ran from the 20 something Spearow chasing them

"Vee!" Eevee cried out
"We can battle later why are you so impatient?!" Bonnie yelled out as she saw a figure in her path "Out the way!"
"Kirlia use Psychic!" a figure called out

The Spearow were all held in place surrounded by a glow evident of a psychic attack
"Send them flying" the figure called out as Spearow were sent a ways away
"Wow that's so cool, thank you, mister," Bonnie said
"No worries but little girls like you shouldn't be out here if you don't have any battle experience," the person said he was quite a bit taller than her if she was about Clemont's age when she was traveling with Ash and Serena then this guy was slightly taller than Ash back then
"We look the same age! I have experience! I only became a trainer yesterday" Bonnie said with Eevee backing her up
"Rookie," the person said pushing up hit glasses
"Oh yeah?! Alright, battle me right here right now!" Bonnie declared
"Ok you can use any amount of pokemon you might have against," the person said taking out a Pokeball "Vibrava let's go"
"A Vibrava?" Bonnie said taking out her Pokedex "A Ground/Dragon"

"Not scared are you?" the person said
"Nope! Let's go Eevee" Bonnie said as Eevee was ready to battle "Use Quick Attack!"
The hit connected doing damage but nothing significant
"Dragonbreath!"
"Sand-attack quick!"
Eevee kicked up the sand underneath them into the Vibrava's eyes which made it miss the dragon breath
"Oh no!" The person said
"Oh yes! Now Tackle attack" Bonnie said
The attack landed and the damage is starting to build-up
"Vibrava fly up to avoid any hits," the person said as Vibrava did as told as it tried to clean its eyes
"Man we can't reach" Bonnie commented as she looked around trying to find a way to fix this "Eevee climb up the tree and use quick attack!"
Eevee did precisely that by using the tree to get the height to attack as Vibrava crashed hard from the impact as Eevee landed gracefully
"Okay enough of this Vibrava use Earthquake!" the person said
"Eevee power through and use Quick attack!"
Eevee tried to force its way with its quick attack to Vibrava who was sending vibrations through the earth but it ultimately fainted before reaching Vibrava
"...We lost.." Bonnie said upset as she fell to her knees and held her fainted Eevee
"That was a good battle especially for a rookie," the person said holding his hand out to help her up which she accepted "My name is Max"
"Bonnie," said still a little upset she lost her first real battle
"Let's get your Pokemon to the Professor for some healing," Max said
"Thanks, I was we were kinda getting lost to Professor Oak's lab anyways" Bonnie admitted
"It happens to everyone," Max said as they walked and they see from their hill that gave them a view of the whole town "Welcome to Pallet Town, home to one of the strongest trainers Ash Ketchum"
