While Max and Bonnie were finishing their battles with Misty and ran into Janine We check in with Lea
Outside of Lavender Town
"I didn't like Rock Tunnel," Lea said to herself dusting herself off from the rocks, dirt, and such "Well at least I'm almost at Lavender town, I can rest there then head to Vermillion City for my next badge"
Lea was walking along the path to Lavender town and couldn't help but feel a chill run through her
"Ooo got chill all of a sudden, let me grab my coat," Lea said reaching into her bag for her puffy green coat and putting it on warming her up
She kept walking and then felt another chill run through her
"Ok that wasn't the weather," Lea said more on guard
She kept walking and took notice of a person with a cane looking up at a tree
"Hi, um do you need help?" Lea asked them
"Yes, I would want those berries up there but it's a bit out of reach," the older lady said
"Ok I can get Squirtle to use-"
"Why not use your Pokemon next to you?" the lady asked
"What?" Lea said as she turned to see a Gastly right in front of her face "Aaahhhh!"
"Hehehehe!" the lady laughed "I take it that Gastly isn't yours"
"Were you the one making me feel those chills?!" Lea pointed accusing which Gastly stuck its tongue out "You were!"
"Seems to like you," The lady said
"Hmm..." Lea said, "You mind grabbing those berries for her?"
"Gas" Gastly vanished then reappeared with the berries floating in front of it
"Wow thanks, Gastly," Lea said handing the berries to the lady which made Gastly smile
"Thank you, you two if you want I'm using these to make dinner and you are more than welcome to join," the lady said
"Really! Wow thank you" Lea said as Gastly looked excited "Oh my name is Lea how rude of me,"
"My name is Agatha now come before it gets too late," Agatha said
"Agatha... Wait you mean!"
"Hehehe" Agatha started to laugh to herself

Lavender Town
The group headed to Agatha's place and while Agatha was cooking Lea was playing with Gastly
"So Lea tell me how is the gym challenge," Agatha asked
"How'd you know... It's going good I'm on my way to Vermillion to try and get my fourth badge"
"Three badges already," Agatha said "Think you can handle it?"
"I've been training with my Pokemon teaching all sorts of new moves," Lea said "I'm trying to get strong enough to beat my rival"
"Rival?" Agatha
"Ash Ketchum you may know him"
"I do," Agatha said "I battled him once towards the beginning of his career"
"What was that like?"
"He was strong, especially for his age he still had some mental aspects of being a trainer to work on at the time," Agatha said "But I knew his potential was high"
"Interesting, I wonder how I would have done if I traveled at the same time," Lea said more to herself
"Hmm?"
"We were part of the same starter group at Professor Oak but I had to delay my journey while Gary and Ash have gotten way ahead of me," Lea said "I need to catch up"
"Hm..." Agatha said as she thought back to a much younger her and Samuel Oak "How about this? When you need training for the league, assuming you get all eight badges, come back here and I'll train you"
"Really?!"
"Yes"
"But on two conditions," Agatha said
"Of course anything to train with an Elite Four member"
"Catch that Gastly, they're going to miss you if you don't," Agatha said
"You want to come with me?" Lea asked as Gastly licked her "Ew haha ok!"
"Second, we will train my way, not yours, not Oak's, not Ash's, not even other champions, you will be my pupil"
"Fine by me," Lea said not concerned about that
"Good, now let's eat," Agatha said as the food was finished
