"Registration will end soon please come to the front desk to register you and your Pokémon"

"This feels weird being on the other side of it," Max said as he was used to May registering

"Excited?" Bonnie said nudging him out of his head

"A little" Max said

"Good," Bonnie said "Looking forward to you and Gallade"

"Who are you using?" Max asked "You never said"

"For appeals one, and for battling another," Bonnie said being cryptic

"If we make it passed appeals," Max said

"Don't be a worrywart"

"I'm not but we haven't practiced a ton or anything and there are real coordinators here-"

"I'm looking forward to seeing you two," Dawn said from behind them shocking the two

"Hey, Dawn!" Bonnie greeted "Gonna give us extra points?!"

"No worries I will be fair and unbiased," Dawn said as she had to keep walking "Good luck"

"Alright let's register and head backstage," Max said

As the two young trainers registered for the Pokémon contest and Dawn got herself situated as a judge Ash made his way to the stands for a good seat

And as he was sitting he got simultaneous calls which forced him to make a group call

"Bonnie's performing?!"
"My little brother is doing a contest!!"

"Hey Clemont, Hey May, oh Clemont this is May, Max's sister, and May this is Clemont, Bonnie's brother," Ash said as he also had to introduce them

"Hi!" May said
"Hi nice to meet you," Clemont said

"But yeah they're entering the contest, they're backstage getting ready now," Ash said

"Ok I'll try to catch it on tv," Clemont said going to find a remote

"I can't! Ash you better record Max!" May said looking scary even scaring Clemont

"Ok I can do that, no problem" Ash not intimidated by May

"Thank you!" she said sweetly and hung up

"I'll talk to you later Clemont," Ash said

"Oh, that's right!" Clemont said remembering they needed to talk "I'll talk to you later" as he also hung up

"Sounded like fun," a voice said

"Huh? Oh hey, Lea! What are you doing here?" Ash said as Lea sat next to him

"I've been training for my gym battle, I heard Erika the gym leader was here so decided to watch," Lea said as Ash nodded "You?"

"Bonnie and Max are competing" Ash answered

"Bonnie I can see but Max?" Lea said

"He wanted to try out a new Pokemon," Ash said

Then the contest started, Lilian hosted the show and started by introducing the judges

"This Celadon City Contest will be judged by Mr. Contesta from the contest committee, Celadon's very own gym leader Erika in replacement for Mr. Sukizo, and a special guest host in place of Nurse Joy top coordinator from the Sinnoh region Dawn!" Lilian the host introduced herself as they all waved and gave opening remarks "Alright let's have our first coordinator to get this contest underway"
