Last seen Lea leaving Cerulean City after earning a victory over Misty
Lea has now left Vermillion City and was on route from Vermillion and Saffron City
She went through the Rock Tunnel after leaving Cerulean gaining lots of experience and then went through Lavender town and ended up in Vermillion City
Giving her experience and time with her Pokemon that she felt needed training for that fourth gym battle
She had caught and evolved some Pokémon between Cerulean and now including her Clefairy and Gastly and her newly evolved Golduck
"Alright that makes four badges," Lea said looking at the Thunder badge she got from the Vermillion City gym by beating Lt. Surge "Halfway there"
It was a tough battle but by being patient and staying true to her strategy she made her Ivysaur, Vulpix, Clefairy, and Gastly were able to win against Surge's Raichu, Electabuzz, Voltorb, and Magnemite
"Guess I can check my messages and stuff," Lea said looking at her phone and only seeing notifications from her dad and those were just him sharing news articles "Maybe I should have become friends with that Bonnie girl back in Cerulean..."
She checked her social media app PokeSocial which she never uses only checks it for news and such

"Inspiring Professor to be Gary Oak makes strides in his research living up to the Oak name" Lea read the article title out loud "He was a jerk last I saw him but I'm glad he's doing well in his research"
She scrolled a little and got bored as it's not like she was checking in on friends just simple news updates and Viridian City updates as that is where she's from
"I wish something interesting would happen," Lea said vocalizing her boredom
*explosion*
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"
"Well, you ask..." Lea said running towards the explosion
Near the explosion
"Stop what you're doing!" Ash yelled out
"You can stop me or you can deactivate this," the mysterious person said next to the device planted into the ground "It takes a good amount of time to properly disarm this Ketchum so it's your choice"
Ash gritted his teeth as he knew he has to disarm the device and not go after this mysterious person
"Ash!" Lea called out as she stopped next to him
"Lea!" Ash said shocked to see her but saw the opportunity "Lea stop them I need to turn this thing off!"
"What?..." Lea said as she was still comprehending the situation "Leave it to me!"
"A nuisance... Go!" the mysterious person said sending out their Rattata and Sneasel
"That's a unique Rattata," Lea said at the black Pokemon
"It's an Alolan Rattata it's a Dark/Normal-type," Ash said as he rushed to the device "Pikachu handle Sneasel"
"Pika!" Pikachu said as it engaged Sneasel
"Dark huh? Ok, go Clefairy" Lea sends out her Fairy type "Let's get a Moonblast ready!"
"Fairy," Clefairy said as it started to charge a Moonblast with its finger
